Following the hearing of the slander suit, Lil Win begs Martha Ankomah for forgiveness.

Lil Win, a Kumawood actor, openly apologized to his coworker Martha Ankomah during his most recent court appearance on Tuesday, 5, 2024.

On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, Martha Ankomah's attorney, Nii Apatu Plange, notified Justice Forson Agyapong Baah that they intended to move on with the GH¢5 million defamation complaint against Lil Win. As a result, the case was scheduled for hearing at an Accra High Court.

Lil Win was unable to come to an out-of-court settlement with the actress and her legal team, so they took this action.

Lil Win and his attorney apologized to Martha Ankomah on behalf of himself and his Wezzy Empire management team live on TikTok after they left the courthouse. The Kumawood actor clarified that he made the decision to apologize publicly after speaking with his legal team and a few significant people.

Lil Win urged his followers and family to join him in expressing regret to Martha Ankomah and in resolving their legal conflict. He acknowledged that his derogatory comments from a few months ago had an emotional impact on the actress, unlike him. The comedian apologized for his behaviour and promised his fans that he would never again criticize Martha Ankomah.

He revealed that he had a great deal of respect for the actress and felt obligated to set things right as a Christian. Lil Win hailed Martha Ankomah as his favourite actress in the Ghanaian film industry and urged his fans to follow her on all of her social media accounts. He went on to say that after his apology was accepted and their legal issues were settled, he hoped to work with her on a future movie.

Michael Blackson encourages Ghanaians to vote carefully in the impending elections.

Comedian Michael Blackson, who is Ghanaian-American, has asked Ghanaians to exercise critical thought before voting in the general elections scheduled for December 7.

In a Joy News interview, Michael Blackson emphasized the difficulties the economy has been facing in recent years, especially since the start of COVID-19.

Blackson called on Ghanaians to carefully consider their choice for the next leader. "It's been a very tough last few years. Since COVID, it's been very tough for the economy and very tough for people. We have to find a way to get Ghana back to what it used to be."

He continued, "Let's think very well about who should be the next leader and go out there and vote that way."

He encouraged everyone to participate in the voting process, emphasising that merely complaining about the situation is not enough. "You can't just complain about this and that. No. Go out and voice your opinion. Vote that day; at least make your vote count," he said.

Blackson also reminded Ghanaians to put God first and not rely solely on leaders to improve their lives. "Just put God first. You cannot rely on a leader to justify your life. Keep moving regardless. Be great and do the right thing," he added.

Thomas Partey is nominated for Arsenal Player of the Month after his recent success.

Thomas Partey, a player from Ghana, is a nominee for October's Arsenal Player of the Month award.

Partey played a key role in each of the six games the Gunners played throughout the month.

He played a variety of roles in the League Cup, UEFA Champions League, and English Premier League.

Despite having to play as a right-back in a few of the games, the 31-year-old was still quite good when playing out of position, particularly in their 2-2 draw with Liverpool.

Before being substituted for Coady Gakpo, who posed little threat to the midfielder, Partey was able to silence Lius Diaz, who was in fine form.

It was the first time in nearly five years that an Arsenal player had won more than three fouls, five tackles, ten successful duels, and 75 Premier League games.

The opportunity can come again - Gideon Mensah's dream of playing for Barcelona is still alive.

Gideon Mensah, a Ghanaian defender, hopes to one day play for Spanish giants FC Barcelona, a dream he almost missed five years ago.

Mensah, now 26, was close to joining Barcelona in 2019 while playing for Red Bull Salzburg, with ambitions to serve as Jordi Alba's understudy on loan.

However, the news was prematurely released, violating the clubs' secrecy agreement and leading to the deal's collapse.

Reflecting on the wasted opportunity and looking ahead, Mensah, who currently plays for French Ligue 1 club AJ Auxerre, believes another chance to join Barcelona may occur.

"I couldn't resist thinking about the next flight to Spain," Mensah said.

"The next day, news spread throughout Ghana that Barcelona wanted me. I called my agent and asked him what had occurred with not saying anything to anyone. The agent maintained he had no idea how the story spread. Nobody knows what will happen in the future. "The opportunity to play for Barcelona may arise again." He added.

Mensah has become a reliable asset for the Black Stars since making his national team debut in 2019, appearing in roughly 20 games. Currently playing for French Ligue 1 club AJ Auxerre, the Ghanaian defender is motivated to excel and push himself on the pitch, hoping that fate may eventually bring him closer to his long-held dream of joining Barcelona.

Mensah remains hopeful that "the God of Football" would once again favor him, making his goal of wearing the Barcelona jersey a reality.

Kweku Darlington discusses sickness and musical hiatus: "I was buried spiritually."

Kweku Darlington, a Ghanaian rapper and musician, has spoken out about the obstacles that led to him going musically silent.

In a recent interview, the singer confessed that he was spiritually attacked, resulting in serious illness and a temporary break in his music career. Kweku Darlington stated that he was "buried spiritually," which had a huge impact on his health. He claimed that his illness was caused by a fight with two other acquaintances.

“I was down, I think last year, for a whole year. It was so bad for me. I had people… friends that turned into enemies. They tried to do me stuff. It went far to Juju and all that stuff. You weren’t hearing of me at the time. I couldn’t go out," he stated.

He stated that he had visited various hospitals and herbalists for treatment before joining his Christian fellowship in the Atwea Mountains and receiving divine intervention. The "Sika Aba Fie" hitmaker admitted that he struggled to write music during this time.

Kweku Darlington remarked that the spiritual trauma not only affected his physical health, but also depleted him musically.

Kwaku Darlington returns with a new single.
Despite the difficulties, he showed thanks for conquering them and released his new single, "S3 wo mpena dada no angyae wo a".

When asked how he has managed to keep his music ageless, he responded that he gets inspiration from talks with people, and the new track is no exception.

'I cried a lot': Selly Galley's emotional confession after twins' baptism

Ghanaian actress Selly Galley-Fiawoo christened her twin babies, whom she welcomed in August 2023.

During the christening of their twins, Selly Galley-Fiawoo delivered a touching tale of the challenges she and her husband, Praye Tietia, endured on their path to parenting.

Selly expressed her heartfelt thankfulness to God and pondered on their enduring love and the difficulties they endured to build their family.

Selly Galley described her love story with Praye Tietia, including their marriage and the nine-year wait to conceive. Despite the scorn and nasty remarks she received on social media, Selly recognised the strength and kinship that kept them together.

"Last year, I cried a lot, but it is all to the glory of God. About sixteen years ago, this man came into my life and changed it completely. I am incredibly blessed to have him. We are deeply in love and fortunate to have something so special," she shared in a video.

She further revealed that during their years of waiting, she had become pregnant but tragically lost the pregnancy. "I did get pregnant along the way, but God said it wasn’t the right time. We cried, but God assured us there was something greater ahead. Now, we are celebrating double blessings, twins, a boy and a girl,” Selly added.

After 8 years of marriage to Praye Tietia, Selly gave birth.

In September 2015, Selly Galley married Ghanaian musician Praye Tietia. Following that, the pair lived blissfully in love together. However, they were chastised and mocked for not having children since their marriage.

Selly and Praye Tietia's narrative changed once their babies were born.

The christening was a beautiful ceremony attended by various celebrities, including Nana Ama McBrown, Fella Makafui, Stacy Amoateng, and Gifty Osei, who joined Selly and Praye to celebrate their new blessings.

Ghanaians misread Mahama; he's the best for the country—Bukom Banku

Braimah Kamoko, also known as Bukom Banku, has defended former President John Dramani Mahama's honour.

He spoke with Kwame Dwomoh-Agyemang of Class 91.3 FM's Class Morning Show.

He claimed that Ghanaians made a mistake by voting for President Akufo-Addo instead of "the best president" Mahama.

“Akufo-Addo has shown he cannot manage the country,” Bukom Banku said. “He’s taken all our money. There’s no money in Ghana. Ghana is an empty can now. No food, no water, no work. The youth are suffering.”

According to the boxing champion, regretful and repentant Ghanaians want John Mahama back in charge.

“Ghana has experienced Mahama’s governance before. He’s not new to us. He’s ruled before. However, Ghanaians did not understand Mahama and so voted him out. Now, Ghanaians want Mahama. Mahama is the best president the country has had,” he said.

“Nana will go and Mahama will come, and we’ll see what he can do,” he predicted.

The singer and comedian declared his preference for the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its flagbearer – his friend – Mahama. He suggested that when Mahama returns to the Golden Jubilee House, he will bring relief from the current economic hardships.

“I’m fighting for my party to come to power so I’ll be free. I’m campaigning for Mahama to win the 2024 election. He’s been my friend since his vice presidency. I’ve known him for 14 years now,” Banku said.

He also stated that he supports Mahama's proposed 24-hour economy, saying that it will generate jobs for Ghanaians.

Bukom Banku claimed Mahama's major competitor, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president and flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), lacks a compelling message for the people. He cautioned that if the NPP retained power following the December 7 elections, it would be devastating for the country.

'No to racism': Inaki Williams and other Black Stars players support Ati Zigi.

Some Ghanaian footballers have taken to social media to defend Lawrence Ati Zigi after the goalie was racially abused in Poland.

Inaki Williams, Abdul Baba Rahman, Joseph Paintsil, and Emmanuel Boateng were among those who supported the shot-stopper following the insults he received.

Ati Zigi was racially assaulted during St. Gallen's UEFA Europa Conference League match against Slask Wroclaw last week.

The encounter between the two clubs was a heated affair, with Slask Wroclaw securing a 3-2 victory at home while losing the competition 3-4 on aggregate.

However, there was one moment of controversy in the game when goalie Ati Zigi was racially abused by some of the home crowd.

Black Stars players express their support for Ati Zigi. The Ghana international became enraged by the incident and walked out of his position to approach the spectators behind the goal who were shouting monkey chants at him.

Ati Zigi had to be restrained by his teammates as he charged towards the alleged culprits before reporting it to the referee.

Following the game, St. Gallen manager Enrico Maassen reported that the shot-stopper was "devastated in the dressing room" by the occurrence.

While St. Gallen reported the incident to UEFA, Ati Zigi took to Instagram and posted a photo with the comment, "Say no to racism. The message is plain.

Many of the goalkeeper's international teammates took to the comments section to express their support for him.

Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams stated, "They don't hurt us." Joseph Paintsil of the LA Galaxy wrote, "With you bro," to which Baba Rahman replied, "Stay strong brother."

Salis Samed relegated to the RC Lens reserve team as midfielder nears departure

Ghana midfielder Abdul Salis Samed appears to be on his way out of RC Lens, having been demoted to practice with the club's reserves.

The 24-year-old joined Lens from Clermont Foot two years ago and had an impressive debut season in Ligue 1.

Samed made 37 appearances in all competitions in his first season in the French top division, but due to injury, he played fewer minutes last season.

Despite making 27 league games, he accumulated 1,513 minutes and did not start regularly.

Salis Samed did not play in Len's first Ligue 1 match against Angers.
On Sunday, Samed was left out of Lens's opening Ligue 1 game of the 2024/25 season against Angers.

The French club has been looking to shed a number of players to balance their books, and manager Will Still has acknowledged that those who are not in the club's plans should train with the reserves.

“For the well-being of the group and the training sessions, it was necessary to trim the group a little,” the Lens boss said.

Samed recently played in both games as Ghana overcame Mali and the Central African Republic (CAR) in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The midfielder partnered Arsenal's Thomas Partey in a midfield pivot as the Black Stars took a significant stride toward qualifying for the tournament against the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

However, his professional career appears to have stalled since Will Still took over at Lens in June, since he does not appear to be in the English manager's plans.
