Good afternoon and welcome to Kyere W'adwen on Fiila FM 89.3

Problem of the day

My husband and I have two kids. My mother was supposed to come and help me in bathing my first child, but my mother in-law came two weeks to my delivery, so I told my mother not to come. I got pregnant again and this time my mother was poised to come. When I was nearing my due date, I told my husband I wanted my mother to come but he told me his mother was on her way. I was like, ah, my mother too is ready to come, so since my mother in-law came for the first child, we should allow my mother to also come. Three days later, my mother-in-law arrived. My mother keeps asking when she should come. When I pushed my husband further, he told me his mother says she doesn't want anybody apart from her to bathe her grandchild in order not to bewitch her grandchild. So I'm like, is it my mother you're calling a witch or what? I'm so angry over this comment. My mother keeps calling. Should I tell her what my husband said? Should I ask my mother-in-law? What do I do? Please help me cos I'm really hurting.

Problem of the day

I fellowship with a Pentecostal church here in Tamale and I'm part of the Women's Ministry. I'm closer to the president of the Women's Ministry. She has a daughter who is in SHS One. Before she went to school, he mother who is our president confided in me that she is sending her daughter to the hospital for a family planning procedure. She wants to protect her daughter from any unwanted pregnancy. And what even shocked me most was the fact that, the girl is not even aware of it. She says she has arranged with the Doctor so the procedure will be done without her daughter's knowledge or approval. She has been advising us as mothers on how to bring up our children in the fear of God, and here she is doing the opposite. Her behavior is shocking to me, cos I expect her to live an exemplary life for the younger women to follow. Is it that she couldn't bring up her child in the fear of God? Is it also right to do it without the approval of her daughter? Is she doing the right thing? Should I still remain a member of the Women's Ministry with her still being my president? I'm so confused. Please advise me.

I am a young man into carpentry. I rented a room in a compound house and my co tenant who is a lady helped me with water and other needs. I noted how intelligent the young lady is, but couldn't further her education. I decided to help her go back to school with the intention of us getting married after her graduation. When she completed I informed her I wanted to go see her parents, but she refused saying she can't marry me and doesn't love me. The reason being that she has seen a different man who has money more than me. Unfortunately for her, the man is married and his wife has warned her to stay away from her husband.
She then returned to me begging me to accept her and marry her. I also said I was no longer interested. The lady reported me to our chief and the chief gave me a week to make my decision and report back to him. What should I do...? Please advise me.
