*WAS IT RIGHT FOR WUNDABA NAA TO HAVE DECLARED FOR DR BAWUMIA?*
First of all, let me state that the Voiceless Media was the first media outlet to have reported the declaration of support for Dr Mahamadu Bawumia by Mr Abdul- Karim Hussein also known as Wundaba Naa
*Interview with Wundaba Naa*
When we heard about the said declaration, we reached out to Wundaba Naa and asked him a series of questions, including the capacity in which he declared support for DMB.
His answer was that he was a businessman and thought that the presidency of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia would help the business climate in the country, hence his declaration.
*Did you declare for Dr Bawumia as an NPP member?*
He told us that he declared for Dr Bawumia in his capacity as a Ghanaian just like any Ghanaian and that his declaration was not made because he was NPP.
*We asked him why he didn't start his declaration processes in Yendi?*
He told the Voiceless Media that because he contested as an Independent Candidate in 2024, he was not seen to be an NPP member again, and also, he was not declaring for Dr Bawumia as an NPP man. So, where he declared was where he wanted to declare.
*Did other presidential candidates approached you to declare for them?*
Wundaba Naa disclosed that some of the NPP presidential aspirants, though, knew he contested as Independent Parliamentary Candudate in 2024, approached him for his support but he fell in love with the rich ideas of Dr Bawumia and hence his open declaration for Dr Bawumia.
*Why the Open declaration?*
Abdul- Hussein Karim stated that he declared openly because he didn't want the other presidential aspirants to continue their approaches at him, hence the open declaration.
*Will you contest as an independent parliamentary candidate in Yendi again in 2028?*
He told the Voiceless Media that he was open to any peace and unity drive, including reapplying to rejoin the NPP but has no any plans to contest for Parliamentary elections in 2028 again.
His priority is to support Dr. Bawumia to become the President of Ghana and implement his rich policies and ideas for the benefit of all.
*Why didn't you join the NDC?*
He hinted that the NDC approached him and would have even loved him to contest as Independent again in 2028 but he was never going to join the NDC since he was originally NPP and willing to go back to the NPP.
*Conclusion*
The Voiceless Media thinks that the intention of Mr Abdul- Karim Hussein, also known as Wundaba Naa, is welcoming, especially as he has indicated that he will not join the NDC, he will not contest as an Independent Parliamentary Candidate again in 2028 and his declaration that he was willing to reapply to join the NPP.
The relevant stakeholders of the party in the Yendi constituency and also the region should have a conversation with him on the way forward.
Politics is about numbers, and any action that can increase our numbers should be received with open hands.
