MLS Dr. Ignatius Abowini Nchor Awinibuno (FWACMLS) is an accomplished Medical Laboratory Scientist. He's risen from the lowest ebb of the profession to his current position as Deputy Chief Medical Laboratory Scientist at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and the Ministry of Health since 2016. The native of Kologo in the Kassena-Nankana West District has been a unionist and leader of various professional allied health groups over the years where he has mentored many junior laboratory technicians/scientists. As President and Chairman of the Ghana Association of of MLS, he was instrumental in advocating for the formation of the Allied Health Professions Council Board, and led an advocacy for the inclusion of Allied Health Professionals in the Governing Boards of all Teaching Hospitals in the country. Mr Yunus Hassan is the Founder and Director of AKGS Computer School, one of the few pro-poor computer schools in the Sagnarigu Municipality. Since 2015 when it started, Mr Hassan and his team have preoccupied themselves with the objective of training more young people particularly basic school pupils in computer literacy. Also, his consistent advocacy for peace, youth-led volunteerism and empowerment have been recognized by the governments of Turkey, Morocco and Austria among others. Hajia Shirley Issah is a rising transformational leader in health education in Ghana. Give her a task and she'd deliver beyond expectation. She's a goal-getter. She's been a nurse-midwife, health tutor and now a principal. She is the founding principal of Gushegu Midwifery Training College where she cut her teeth as an administrator of a health training institution with many successes including ensuring the availability of adequate resources for the smooth running of a College which was birthed amidst many challenges. The level of positive transformation at Gushegu saw her being transferred to the Kpambe Nursing and Midwifery Training College where she again attained extraordinary feats. The Kpambe College is currently one of the most sought-after health training institutions in Northern Ghana. Congratulations Madam for your penchant for excellence.

For nearly 40 years, Mr Adams Kaleo Bertinus has been a teacher. He's not just an ordinary teacher but a celebrated one. He wanted to become a lawyer but after he failed in his attempt to get the requisite passes in his Advanced Level Education, he opted for the teaching profession and has excelled in it. He's taught at the basic and secondary schools level as well as in the college of education in the then Bono Ahafo Region, Northern and Upper West Regions. The two time award-winning teacher is currently the Principal of Tumu College of Education. Congratulations sir.
