Private Journalists Association of Ghana This page is a platform for members of PJA to engage and share ideas relevant to the development of the Association.

The PJA is an Association of professional journalists as well as freelance journalists working in Ghana. Members of the Association are found in the privately owned media houses mostly in the Northern sector of the country. Founded in 2006, the PJA exists to promote, defend and protect the interest of its members as well as all other journalists who do not even belong to the Association. The PJA s

eeks the welfare of all journalists working with private and state-owned media organisations or companies. We also partner with other institutions or individuals to build the capacity of members of the Association so as to enhance their skills and knowledge as well as uphold journalistic principles. Fight for the independence or non-interference in the editorial decisions of the media and hold public office holders accountable to citizens.
