Who is to be blamed? Is it the slackened artist, the unconcerned presenter/hypeman, the once in a blue moon fan or poor management of the artist that has made coming into the limelight of music in Tarkwa Nsuaem almost impossible?
Without any argument, I know and know you do too that Tarkwa has many musicians that can cause an uproar not only in Western Region or in Ghana but beyond it and yet still, we still lag behind in breaking through to stardom.
When artists are asked, it will either be because of financial issues, no management or not getting enough support from our media houses. When the presenters, DJ's and hypemen are asked, their answers range from some artists being lazy, inconsistent to low level of promotion.
This is just the surface of things baffling me in the Golden City's entertainment sector. I will properly be disecting it in the near future. For now, my little opinion is that artists should put in more work on their talent and set up a good management, even if it's an independent one and our DJ's, presenters, hypemen and fans should also extend more helping hands.
I believe that coming and working together can push Tarkwa's music beyond borders.
