On behalf of H.E. President John Dramani Mahama, Hon. Eric Opoku today distributed approximately 40,000 bags of fertilizer to peasant farmers, reaffirming the government's commitment to transforming Ghana's agricultural sector.
In a major boost to modern farming, agricultural drones have also been deployed to spray pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers with speed and precision. Capable of covering between 50 and 100 acres per hour, these drones will significantly increase productivity, reduce crop losses, lower production costs, and enhance food security across the country.
This intervention demonstrates a clear commitment to empowering farmers with the tools and technology needed to drive agricultural growth, improve yields, and strengthen the nation's economy.

The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has announced a reduction in the price floor of petroleum products effective June 16, 2026. Petrol has been reduced from GH¢15.20 to GH¢13.39 per litre, while diesel drops from GH¢15.49 to GH¢15.11 per litre.
