Title: Should Peace Extend a Helping Hand to the One Who Cursed Her?
Hello Everyone,
My name is Peace, and I am reaching out to you today because I am at a major crossroads in my life and truly need your wisdom and guidance.
Growing up, I lived with my grandmother in a village called Lorm Nava. I came to live with her when I was 15 years old. By the time I turned 20, I felt it was time for me to have my own privacy, mature, and build my own life.
However, my grandmother strongly disagreed with my decision to leave. When I stood firm on my choice, the situation escalated—she ill-treated me and ultimately put a curse on me, saying that it would never be well with me if I relocated. With a heavy heart and no other choice, I packed my things and moved out to settle on my own.
Fast forward to today: by God's Grace, I am doing well. God has blessed the work of my hands and proven that His plans for me are greater than any words spoken against me.
Now, my grandmother is old, vulnerable, and in urgent need of help. Because of how she mistreated me in the past and the harsh words she spoke over my life, I am deeply torn and confused. Part of me remembers the pain and mistreatment, while another part wonders what the right thing to do is.
I am turning to you, my audience, for honest advice:
Should I reach out and support her despite what she did?
If I do help, how can I protect my peace and emotional well-being while doing so?
How would you handle a situation like this?
Please leave your thoughts and advice in the comments below. Thank you, and God bless you all.
