Last Saturday, Ghana lost more than a legend—we lost a voice that felt like home. Charles Kwadwo Fosu, Daddy Lumba, didn’t just sing to us, he sang for us, through our joys, our heartbreaks, and every quiet moment in between.

His music was the soundtrack of my childhood, echoing from every speaker in Sowutuom and beyond. As we stand in this vigil, candle in hand, I remember the way his lyrics carried us, united us, made us proud to be Ghanaian. Sleep well, DL. Your songs live on not just in playlists, but in our very souls.

Gbadzeme Ayafie Waterfall is located in the village of Gbadzeme, near Amedzofe in Ghana’s Volta Region. The waterfall is a 40-meter drop of the perennial River Oteahavor, originating from the mountains of Amedzofe.

Reaching the waterfall involves a 45-minute hike through forested trails. The path is surrounded by lush vegetation, including bamboo groves, and offers opportunities to observe local wildlife.
