The rate at which young men and women are getting addicted to drugล› in Kumasi and across the Ashanti Region is becoming very alarming.

I recently watched a video of a lady who claimed she came from the UK to Ghana for school, only to end up addicted to drugs. Sadly, many young people are falling into the same trap, and there are even reports of places in Kumasi where addicts gather.

At this point, we must be serious. Awareness alone is not enough. Authorities must crack down on drug dealers and those destroying the future of our youth.

Whatโ€™s even more worrying is that some musicians are promoting drug culture in their songs, yet they dream of winning Grammys. We cannot glorify drugs and expect greatness at the same time.

Those TikTokers praying with addicts are doing something positive, but they should understand this is not a Sunday service. There must be serious action, strict enforcement, and rehabilitation. Force must be applied against dealers and those destroying the future of our youth.

Kumasi is gradually turning into a pharmacy for addicts

Say NO to drugs. The hype is temporary, but the damage is permanent. ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ’Š๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ญ

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ญ A Ghanaian man has recounted how thieves broke into his home and stole several valuable items.

In a video, he explained that he had been at his residence in Weija throughout the day. Later that night, he travelled to Dansoman to attend to something, only to return and discover that burglars had broken into his house.

According to him, the thieves made away with watches he intended to sell, documents relating to his land and vehicles, laptops, and a spare key to his car.

After the Dยฃ of the late founder and Chief Executive Officer of First Foundation Hospital, Dr Tosin Ajayi on 26th of April ,2020.

Legal battle started over who is the legal wife to the Doctor and how they will inherit his properties

The Doctor seperated from his first legal wife many years ago but did not Divorce her properly in court before moving on to marry another woman

Under the law, the legal wife is the one that will come forward as executor for the properties with another family member (maybe with the children if they are adult already or family members if the children are still small)

Na so case start ooo on who is the legal wife.

First wife came back to take her position and the second wife say lai lai, over my Dยฃ body, you left him years ago and showed face when you hear say e don kpai....

Dem drag the matter go court since 2021.

Finally, case don end and judgement delivered by Justice Oluwayoyin Odusanya,

The court rejected the argument that the first wife prolonged separation from Doctor Ajayi amounted to a termination of their marriage.

According to the judge, separation, regardless of how long it lasts, does not automatically dissolve a legally valid marriage under the Act.

In addition, Justice Odusanya held that the alleged customary marriage to the second woman would still have been invalid because evidence before the court showed that Mrs Ajayi was legally married to her former husband, Mr. Davies, at the time the second woman claimed to have married Dr. Ajayi.

Consequently, the court dismissed her claim to spousal status and affirmed Mrs. Ajayi as the only legally recognised spouse of the deceased.

The court also upheld Mrs. Ajayiโ€™s entitlement to one third of Dr. Ajayiโ€™s personal estate and ruled that she is the only spouse entitled to apply for letters of administration over the estate.

As it is,
The legal wife will get one third of Dr Ajayi property and the children from Mrs Ajayi and other children the man had outside his legal marriage will share properties left, cos the man did not write A WILL

When i tell women to avoid any man married under the ACT wey never divorce properly, e go be like Atanda dey joke

If he does not divorce his legal wife under the Act.
If you like born one dozen of pikin, you are a baby mama or side chick under the law

If the man is married traditionally to another woman and you come as second wife come go do marriage for registry.

That your marriage is null and avoid cos he is actively marriage traditionally and any other marriage without ending the first one is void.

Statutory marriage is about one man and one woman only.

He must divorce the first wife property under their tradition before getting married to you at the registry

When the man kpai, the court will explain to you better ๐Ÿคฃ than Atanda

Ignorance of the law is no excuse
