Talents In Children
Gifts become talents when they’re developed and nurtured.

This means that gifted children become talented when they use their natural gifts to learn, concentrate and practise. For example, if your child is gifted musically and you give her opportunities to learn a musical instrument, she might develop a talent for playing.

Many things influence whether a gifted child’s natural ability becomes a talent. These things include family values, educational opportunities, personality and motivation, health and chance opportunities. For example, if your child is gifted in the area of business ability, with your support he might develop this gift into a talent for marketing and selling eggs his chickens have laid.

You’ll usually notice talents from about six years. But sometimes talents show up only later in older children and teenagers. Generally, by late primary school age or the teenage years, a gifted and talented child will be achieving at a very high level in one or more areas

MEN AND WOMEN OF FAITH STUDY

Although many were praying for the sick in the charismatic renewal, perhaps the most prominent advocate for healing was Kathryn Kuhlman (1907-1976). During this era, she became "one of the best-known woman revivalists in America."
When Kuhlman initially launched her ministry in the Pacific Northwest, she did not accentuate healing. Although occasionally ministering to the sick, Kuhlman was "chary about the propriety of healing services," write Robert Krapohl and Charles Lippy. She "determined that she would not indulge in the sensationalism that was obvious in most healing revivals."

Her reticence about healing changed in 1946, after some notable encounters. Kuhlman writes, according to Allen Spraggett:
"I was preaching in Franklin, Pennsylvania. One night my sermon was on the Holy Spirit. I hadn't mentioned healing. But the next night, before I began to preach, a woman stood up and said, 'Pardon me Miss Kuhlman, but I have a testimony to give. While you were preaching last night I had a strange sensation in my body, and I knew I had been healed. I knew it. Today I went to my doctor, and he confirmed that I was.' As I recollect, the woman had had a tumor. And that was the beginning, the first of miracles

The only bird that dares to peck an eagle is the raven. It sits on the eagle's back and bites its neck. However, the eagle doesn't respond or fight with the raven. It does not spend time or energy with the raven. It just opens its wings and begins to fly higher in the sky. The higher the flight, the harder it is for the raven to breathe and the raven eventually falls due to lack of oxygen. Not all battles you need to respond to. Not all arguments or critics you need to respond to or answer back. Just lift up a standard, they'll fall off! Stop wasting time with the 'ravens'. Just take them to your height and they'll fade away. The enemy may sit on your back and bite your neck... But remember, "The race is not for the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor the bread to the wise, nor riches to men of skill, but time and chances happen to them all" May The Lord take you to a height where it'll be difficult for the enemies to peck on you in Jesus name!
