The First Baptist Church Children and Teens ministry Celebration – July 6, 2025
Theme: “The Eaglet Shall Fly”

On Sunday, July 6, 2025, The First Baptist Church under the Ghana Baptist Convention held a vibrant and spirit-filled celebration for its Children and Teens Ministry under the inspiring theme, “The Eaglet Shall Fly.” The event highlighted the potential, growth, and God-given purpose of every child in the ministry.

The children led the service with songs, memory verses, drama, and dance, powerfully illustrating the theme and reminding the congregation that young lives are being prepared to soar in faith and purpose. Parents, teachers, and church members gathered in support, creating a joyful atmosphere of unity and encouragement.

In his address, the head pastor of the First Baptist Church - Boamang, emphasized the importance of raising confident, spiritually-grounded children who will rise like eaglets and impact their generation. The event concluded with prayers, blessings, and fun activities for the children.

It was a beautiful celebration of growth, hope, and the future of the church—where every eaglet is destined to fly.

Over the past three weeks, Afigya Kwabre North District has recorded notable progress in youth employment within the security sector. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Member of Parliament, Hon. Collins Adomako-Mensah , more young people from the district have successfully been recruited into various national security services.

Among the most recent recruits are Dorcas, popularly known as Tumtumbroni from Nkwantakese, who graduated from the Police Training School in Tesano; Albert Owusu Afriyie from Ahenkro, now with the Immigration Service; and Millicent Amponsah from Boamang, who has joined the Ghana National Fire Service

These individuals add to the 32 others previously recruited into various security services through the MP’s efforts bringing the total to 35 young men and women from the constituency. This marks an unprecedented milestone for Afigya Kwabre North, especially considering it has been achieved within the first term and just the first year of Hon. Adomako Mensah’s second term, as MP.

This initiative reflects a deliberate and impactful strategy to address youth unemployment by creating real pathways into national service. It is a clear demonstration of leadership that delivers measurable outcomes, empowering the youth and strengthening the socio-economic fabric of the Afigya Kwabre North Constituency.

The Inter-Circuit Cultural Festival, held on Tuesday 24th June, 2025 at Soko-Afigya Kwabre North District , was a powerful celebration of our cultural heritage, values, and unity. 🚨FULL REPORT: Disruption Mars DCE Confirmation Vote in Afigya Kwabre North: Results Nullified🚨

Afigya Kwabre North, June 17, 2025,The second attempt to confirm Hon. Emmanuel Jackson Agumah as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Afigya Kwabre North has ended in controversy and disruption, rendering the results invalid.

A total of 21 out of 22 eligible voters comprising assembly members and government appointees participated in today’s confirmation vote. Initial results showed 14 voting against the nominee and 7 in favor.

However, the process was abruptly disrupted when an individual believed to be an agent of the nominee allegedly snatched the ballot papers mid-count in what appeared to be an attempt to derail the procedure. Security officers on site swiftly intervened to retrieve the ballots and restore order.

Following strong protests from assembly members, the Electoral Commission, in consultation with the Presiding Member, nullified the entire voting process, citing the breach in procedure and compromised integrity of the results.

As a result, the President’s nominee remains unconfirmed.

A representative from the Regional Minister’s office was present and is expected to submit an official report. In line with the Local Governance Act, the Regional Minister will consult the President to determine the next steps.

In a press conference held shortly after the incident, assembly members voiced their displeasure and concern over the disruption, calling for accountability and a transparent resolution to the matter.
