📢 MESSAGE TO DONDOLIANS 📢

Assalamu Alaikum everyone.
Last year December, we as a community took a bold and good step by banning public dancing during marriage ceremonies in Dondoli, popularly known as "Amariya dance". We did this to protect our values, our peace, and the dignity of marriage in Islam.

We made our stand clear then, and today we must make it even clearer.
It has come to our attention that some of our sisters still secretly organize this dance after the marriage Nikkah. So we want to assure the community that enforcement will now be stricter. Anyone who violates this ban may face a penalty, either a fine or a contribution of bags of cement towards completing the Dondoli Clinic maternity ward.

Alhamdulillah, other communities around us have seen the wisdom in what we started and are also banning public dancing at weddings. Our good step is spreading, and we must do our best to protect it.
This is not an individual fight, this is a fight for all of us. Together, we can build a great future for Dondoli again. Let’s remember, it will be a shame if other communities are now holding firmly to this ban, while we the people who started it become relaxed. We cannot start something good and then step back while others carry it forward.

We remain firm on this law and will engage our Elders & Imams to ensure proper guidance during marriage Nikkahs. Where possible, we propose that the husband and wife take an oath before Dondoli to respect this community decision.

Please share your thoughts, critics and experiences and How can we work together to uphold this law.

The final whistle blew and the score was not in our favor. But sons of Dondoli, hear this: You did not lose this game, instead you won our hearts❤💞.

Yesterday at Yakuba Park, you wore the green and white with pride. You ran until your legs were tired. You tackled, you passed, you fought for every ball like the name _Dondoli_ was written on your chest. That is what we will remember.

A trophy gathers dust, but the respect you earned from Dondoli, from the crowd, from every child who watched the ball you played is what stays forever.

Thank you for showing our community what courage looks like. Thank you for giving us 90 minutes of hope, unity, and pride. Thank you for leaving everything on that field for us.

Heads up, champions. We are proud of you today, and we will be proud of you tomorrow. The whole of Dondoli stands behind you.
