The Daffiama-Bussie-Issa district is celebrating the opening of a new, ultra-modern CHPS Compound, donated by the Japanese Embassy in Ghana. The facility brings essential health services much closer to thousands of residents in and around Kenkellen. I will be grateful if the embassy could organise some exchange programs for the staff who are sacrificing to stay here, especially in the rainy season This facility is a game-changer, especially for the Fulbe settlers who previously had to travel several miles to Kojokperi for health care. The district is currently home to over 38,000 people, but is served by just one medical doctor....

NERD Project Supports 20 Schools In The Upper west Region With 3,070 Learning Materials

Twenty basic schools across Daffiama, Jirapa and Nandom municipalities have received 3,070 supplementary teaching and learning materials under the Nurturing Education through Resource Donations (NERD) Project, an initiative by A-ensonga Hearts aimed at improving learning outcomes in deprived communities. This second regional edition of the NERD Project follows a successful first phase in the Upper East Region. The decision to expand to the Upper West was influenced by Mr Solomon Kuupole, who appealed for his community to also benefit from the initiative. The donation comprised essential educational resources, including exercise books, textbooks from Alpha and Omega Publications, general textbooks from individuals, notepads, pens, pencils, reusable tote bags created by Kems Crafts Gh, and water bottles....
