🚧 Sawla–Wa Road: Where Is the Work? 🚧
Residents of the Upper West Region are growing increasingly frustrated over the slow pace of construction on the Sawla–Wa road.
Yiri News can confirm that from the Wa Police Station roundabout up to Nyoli—the last community in the Upper West before the Savannah Region—there is no visible construction activity along most sections of the road.
However, a visit to Nyoli shows some progress: gutters are currently being constructed along both sides of the road.
Despite this, many road users are urging the contractor, Maripoma Enterprise Limited, to speed up work and deliver on promises of improved connectivity for the region.
Meanwhile, several shops along the road from the Wa Municipal police station roundabout through Bamahu to Kunfabiala have been marked for demolition for the dualisation of that portion.
📢 What’s your experience on this road? Drop your thoughts below! 👇
