Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia Sponsors Full Cost of Kidney Transplant for Saana Ibrahim a Bawku Native.

In a remarkable act of compassion, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, has graciously offered to cover the full cost of a kidney transplant for Saana Ibrahim, a native of Bawku in the Upper East Region.

Saana Ibrahim was diagnosed with kidney failure, and a transplant became his only hope for survival. After reaching out to Dr. Bawumia and sharing his health condition, the former Vice President swiftly intervened and took responsibility for the entire medical procedure, which is set to take place in New Delhi, India.

Today, Saana is being flown to New Delhi for the commencement of the transplant process.

The people of Bawku have expressed profound gratitude to Dr. Bawumia for his timely and life-saving intervention, describing it as a true demonstration of empathy, leadership, and humanity.
