Video Of Yaa Baby Flaunting The Gun Which Was Later Used To Kill Her By Her Boyfriend

Popular Ghanaian social media figure Hayford Boateng, widely known online as GH Kobby, has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of his girlfriend, Philipa Yaa Baby, also known as Shuga.

The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, in Seker, a community in Yeji, the capital of the Pru East District in the Bono East Region.GH Kobby and two associates, Kojo Emmanuel and Michael Kabutey, were taken into police custody shortly after the shooting.

According to preliminary police reports and eyewitness accounts, GH Kobby allegedly retrieved a firearm from his luxury vehicle to fire celebratory warning shots into the air.

However, in the process, the weapon discharged and hit Philipa in the left arm.

She was immediately rushed to St. Martin’s Hospital in Yeji for medical attention.

But unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries shortly after arrival.

The group had reportedly travelled to Yeji after attending the final funeral rites of the late Mamponghene, Daasebre Osei Bonsu II. The mood quickly shifted from mourning to horror following the incident.

In a disturbing development, a resurfaced video currently circulating on social media appears to show the deceased, Yaa Baby, handling a firearm.

According to online claims, it may be the same gun involved in the fatal shooting, though police have not officially confirmed the connection.

Ghanaians are currently mourning the death of Yaa Baby, a very beautiful lady who met her untimely death at Yeji.

As reported, Yaa Baby was tragically shot by her boyfriend who’s also popularly known on TikTok GH Kobby.

According to a news account aired on Adom FM, GhKobby was not alone during this ill-fated visit.

He was said to be in the company of two other young men, travelling with YaaBaby in an unregistered vehicle.

The group reportedly arrived in Yeji with what appeared to be a casual and friendly visit, with one of the young men having previously completed his national service in the town.

The reporter added that they even to a house the said gentleman once stayed in during his service days, where they were warmly received and even served food.

KASOA : FAKE DOCTOR ARRESTED FOR PERSONATION AND FRAUD

The Ghana Police Service, through an intelligence-led operation, has arrested a man for impersonating a medical doctor and defrauding unsuspecting victims under the pretext of securing international travel opportunities for them.

The suspect, identified as Fredrick Papa Kow-Assifuah, was arrested by personnel of the Police Intelligence Directorate (PID) Headquarters on Thursday, June 6, 2025, at Kasoa Crispo City, in the Central Region.

At the time of arrest, suspect Frederick Papa Kow-Assifuah was dressed in a white lab coat, with a stethoscope around his neck and had arranged to meet another potential victim he had lured online.

A search conducted at the premises led to the retrieval of a number of medical items in his possession, including:

• Two (2) stethoscopes
• Three (3) intravenous (IV) drips
• Five (5) syringes
• Two (2) sample bottles
• One (1) roll of plaster
• Six (6) bottles of vaccines
• One (1) Ghanaian passport
• Cash amounting to GH¢8,500.00

During interrogation, the suspect admitted to impersonating a doctor at the United Brain Hospital at Mallam, a suburb of Accra. He also confessed to using his fake identity to engage women online, initiating intimate relationships with them and convincing them to part with money for fake travel arrangements to Europe.

The suspect is currently in police custody, assisting investigation and will be put before court.O

BREAKING NEWS : Ken Ofori-Atta Listed On INTERPOL Red Alert Over “Using Public Office For Profit”

Former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has been officially listed on INTERPOL’s Red Notice database following a renewed request by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP). The move comes amidst ongoing corruption investigations and intensifies efforts to bring the former minister to justice.

The Red Notice, made public on June 6, 2025, describes Ofori-Atta as a 65-year-old Ghanaian male, born on November 7, 1959, in Accra. He is 1.7 metres tall with black hair and black eyes and speaks both English and Twi.

According to INTERPOL, he is wanted on the charge of “Using Public Office for Profit.”The OSP believes he is currently in the United States receiving medical treatment and is seeking international assistance to locate and provisionally arrest him, pending extradition or voluntary surrender.

OSP moves to get Interpol involved in Ken Ofori-Atta case

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has taken things to the next level by initiating Interpol red notice processes for the arrest of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.

After failing to report in person to the OSP by the June 2, 2025 deadline, Mr. Ofori-Atta has been re-declared a wanted man, and this time, it’s not just Ghana watching — the international community is on alert.

This means Mr. Ofori-Atta could be detained in any country that cooperates with Interpol while Ghana seeks his extradition.

The red notice is a major escalation in the OSP’s ongoing investigation into alleged corruption-related offences involving the former minister.

“Ghanaians are tired of dropped calls & slow internet. We’re not doing sentiments—we’re doing engineering,” he said after a sit-down with telecom CEOs.

The gov’t is demanding real improvements across all districts. If networks don’t step up, part of the fines will go back to you—the consumer—as bonus data or airtime.

“We want to see real changes. You can’t fool us with towers and still deliver bad service,” he added.
