Mr. Asiedu Nketiah contested as MP for Wenchi West constituency and served as MP for 12years. During his term at Parliament, he served in several Committees such as:
Appointments Committee, Finance Committee, Public Accounts Committee, Chairman Mines and Energy Committee, Minority spokesperson on Food, Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs.

Currently he is the National Chairman for the Ruling National Democratic Congress, NDC

Wenchi Traditional Council Pays Courtesy Call on the Presidency Ahead of Late Omanhemaa’s Dɔte Yie

The Wenchi Traditional Council, under the distinguished leadership of Wenchimanhene, Osagyefo Ampem Anye Amoampong Tabrako III, has paid a courtesy call on the Presidency to officially inform H.E. John Dramani Mahama of the ancestral transition of the Omanhemaa of the Wenchi Traditional Area, Ohemaa Atoa Otonsuo Tweewa Seramangyedua III, and to extend an invitation to the President and the Presidency to the upcoming Dɔte Yie ceremony in her honour.

The final funeral rites of the late Queenmother are scheduled to take place from November 25 to 30, 2025, in Wenchi, Bono Region.

The delegation was warmly received by the Honourable Chief of Staff, Mr. Julius Debrah, who represented the President, as His Excellency had to depart for an official engagement in France the previous evening.

Accompanying the delegation were the Member of Parliament for Wenchi, Hon. Alhaji Seidu Haruna, the Municipal Chief Executive, Madam Gloria Opoku Gyamfi, Hon. Kojo Frempong, NPP paliamentary Candidate and several other distinguished sons and daughters of the Wenchi Traditional Area.
