The Ghana Northern Music Awards (GNMA) ’26 has partnered with GHOne TV as its official media partner for the second edition.

The partnership is expected to help more people across Ghana discover and enjoy Northern music and its talented artists.

At the first edition, Maccasio won the Overall Artist of the Year award and took home a brand-new Honda Civic.

With GNMA ’26 set to be bigger this year, many people are now waiting to see which artist will win the biggest award.

Maccasio, who claims he completed Savelugu SHS, said he was going to the bush to fish, and nobody saw anything wrong with it.

But when Fancy Gadam, who dropped out from JHS 1, made a simple statement that lemon is a vegetable, suddenly everyone became an English teacher and an education inspector.

So fishing in the bush is acceptable, but a mistake about a vegetable is where you draw the line?

This is shameless hypocrisy. If you want to mock someone for their education, at least apply the same standard to everyone. Don’t celebrate one person’s ignorance and weaponize another person’s mistake simply because you prefer one of them.

Education should not be used as a weapon for selective humiliation. The double standard is embarrassing.

Honourable Habib has officially joined the Gadam Nationals who are pushing back against Chairman Buga's bid for the NPP First Vice Chairman position. 🔥

In a video circulating online, Honourable Habib is seen openly endorsing Nana Akomea for the First Vice Chairman position — despite many people believing he would support Chairman Buga. 😄

And before anyone starts shouting “fake news”, let’s be clear: Nana Akomea met with the Minority Caucus in Parliament, and they openly endorsed him as the man they believe is best suited for the position.

Politics is getting interesting! 😂🔥 It looks like the battle for the NPP First Vice Chairmanship is not going to be as easy as some people expected.

According to Adugali, the passing of Tolon Naa has affected him so deeply that he is traumatized and currently cannot even come on radio to do his normal programs because of how sad he feels.

Now, Adugali is a radio presenter, so staying away from radio because of grief shows how deeply the death has affected him. That is humanity. That is having a heart and feeling the pain of others.

But then let's compare this to Maccasio's situation.

When the Overlord of Dagbon passed away, the entire Dagbon Kingdom was in deep mourning. People were crying and grieving over the loss of their King. Yet Maccasio allegedly attempted to move ahead with a show involving Mr. P, despite reports that he had been served a suspension letter from the Gukpei Naa Palace.

And this is where the comparison becomes serious.

One person is saying he cannot even do his normal job because the death of a chief has broken him emotionally. Another person allegedly wanted to continue with a major entertainment show while the entire kingdom was mourning its Overlord.

Nobody is saying Adugali and Maccasio must react the same way, because people grieve differently. But as human beings, our actions during painful moments say a lot about the level of empathy and humanity we have.

For me, when an entire kingdom is mourning its King, money, shows, and entertainment should not be the first priority. Some moments are bigger than business. Some moments require you to pause and show respect for humanity.

A good heart is not only shown by what you say when people are watching. It is shown by the decisions you make when other people's hearts are broken.

Fancy Gadam has said that people should not expect a very expensive wedding from him when he gets married.

The Ghanaian musician explained that he likes living a simple life and wants his wedding to be simple too.

He said he is not interested in spending a lot of money just to have a big and fancy wedding.

According to Fancy Gadam, anyone expecting a very big wedding from him may be surprised because he prefers to keep things simple.

For him, the most important thing is not how much money is spent on the wedding, but having a simple and happy marriage.

“You see that talent that I have? God has given it to me to go to the bush and be catching fish.” 😂🐟 — Maccasio’s old freestyle video resurfaces 🔥

This is honestly my first time listening to a freestyle like this! 😂😂

So God didn’t give the rapper the talent to rap, but instead gave him the special talent of catching fish in the bush? Not even in the sea or river... but inside the bush? 😭🐟🌳

Maccasio, please explain this talent to us because eiiiii! 😂🔥

Adugali was seen dancing and jubilating after G-Face was summoned to Gukpei Palace over something he said. But honestly, I find the celebration a little hypocritical.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being summoned by chiefs and elders and being asked to apologize when you have said something wrong. Adugali himself has been summoned to the same palace several times and has apologized when necessary. That is part of respecting traditional authority.

But let's not forget what happened between Adugali and Emmanuel. Adugali allegedly made defamatory statements about Emmanuel Mawanye Kotin on Tolon Radio, and when Emmanuel was preparing to take the matter to court after consulting his lawyers, Adugali reportedly reached out privately, begging and pleading for the case to be dropped because he could not afford the damages that could come with a court case. Emmanuel eventually agreed to settle the matter peacefully.

So my question is: What exactly is so funny or worth celebrating about someone else being summoned when you have also faced the same situation yourself?

You cannot cry and beg for mercy when trouble comes to your door, then turn around and dance with joy when someone else is facing their own problems. That is not maturity — that is double standards.

In my opinion, Adugali should know better. Nobody is perfect, and everyone can make mistakes. But if you have personally experienced the humiliation of being called to answer for your words, you should be the last person mocking or celebrating another person's situation.

Today it is G-Face, tomorrow it could be anyone. Sometimes, the best celebration is simply staying quiet.
