Giving back has been at the heart of everything we’ve done this year. ❤️

From events to collaborations, we’ve made it a priority to support the incredible organisations working tirelessly across Gibraltar. This year, OME has proudly contributed to:
✨ GBC Open Day – donating £250 raised from our Summer Party
✨ The EV Foundation Trust – helping families in need
✨ Nazareth House – supporting their vital community work
✨ The Gibraltar Horticultural Society – celebrating green spaces and local growers

And this week, we were delighted to be part of the Christmas Charity Bake Sale with Regus at WTC - raising funds, sharing festive spirit and bringing the community together for such an important cause.

A huge thank you to everyone who baked, popped in, donated or supported in any way.

Your kindness truly makes a difference.

Last year, Jesse Stone was named Entrepreneur Rising Star at the Startup Grind Gibraltar Awards, recognised for his creativity, drive and growing impact. 🖤

Since then, his work has continued to reach far beyond Gibraltar. From commissioned projects with Adobe and the Los Angeles Times, to exhibiting his work in Seoul, South Korea, Jesse has been steadily building an international presence.

Most recently, that journey led to a major local milestone. Jesse was commissioned by Starbucks to create exclusive artwork for the very first Starbucks store in Gibraltar. A proud moment for him, and for the local creative community.

Watching someone we believed in early on go on to achieve moments like this never gets old. We could not be prouder.

Congratulations Jesse. This is just the beginning.

We were delighted to support their exclusive festive event, where guests explored a carefully chosen line-up of Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles and enjoyed special offers available only for the occasion.

And here they are - the winners of this year’s Build Local, Think Global Startup Pitch Battle! 🖤

After an incredible evening last Thursday, where nine finalists pitched their ideas in true Dragons’ Den style to a sold-out room, we are thrilled to reveal the standout founders who impressed the judges and secured this year’s top spots:

1st Place – £5,000 Prize: Your Front Desk – Leon Thick
2nd Place – £1,000 Prize: Time Lock - Dominic Roworth Mancera and Ethan Roworth Mancera

From sustainability to smart tech, each pitch demonstrated the creativity, courage and forward-thinking mindset shaping Gibraltar’s next wave of entrepreneurs.

A huge well done to all nine finalists who stepped onto that stage - your ideas, passion and resilience truly lit up the room. This community is watching, supporting and rooting for you.

Starbucks Gibraltar officially opens its doors tomorrow at 10:00am, and excitement is brewing!

Be sure to arrive early - the first 100 customers will receive a limited-edition gift created by local artist Jesse Stone ().

As part of their Opening with a Cause initiative, 50% of all proceeds from the launch day will be donated to The EV Foundation Trust, supporting families in need across Gibraltar.

Join Starbucks for this long-awaited moment and be part of their very first day in Gibraltar. See you there!

We know you've all been waiting patiently and now the new opening date is finally announced. Starbucks Gibraltar's first store is opening it's doors on Tuesday 2nd December at 10:00 am.

The first 100 customers will receive an exclusive gift designed by local Gibraltarian artist Jesse Stone () to commemorate the arrival of Starbucks® in Gibraltar. In addition, through Starbucks® “Opening with a Cause” initiative, 50% of proceeds from the inauguration will be donated to The EV Foundation Trust to support vulnerable families in Gibraltar.

Starbucks welcomes Gibraltar to join them in celebrating this special moment. Come and share the experience with us!

Next Thursday, 11th December at 10:00 AM, the WTC Gibraltar Lobby will transform into a festive bake sale in aid of The EV Foundation.

We’re looking for:
👩 Bakers – cakes, biscuits, cupcakes, anything homemade and delicious
🤝 Volunteers – to help set up, run stalls, or support on the day

Visitors – pop in, buy something and help raise vital funds for families in need.

I’m Denise Matthews, the founder of One Media & Events and the Chapter Director of Startup Grind Gibraltar. For years, I’ve worked behind the scenes creating events, supporting local initiatives and building spaces where people can meet, grow and feel connected, whether that’s in business or in everyday life.
