It could be an event, a brand, a message or simply the way you show up.

For me, visibility has never been about being the loudest in the room.

It’s about being consistent, being relevant and making an impression that lasts.

Because being noticed is good. Being remembered is better.

What makes an event stand out for you?

Some events you remember because of the venue.

Others, because of how they made you feel.

For us, that’s what it’s all about.

The atmosphere. The energy. The little details you weren’t expecting.

When it all comes together, it becomes more than just an event.

It becomes something people remember.

There is no single formula for a great event.

Every client, every audience and every occasion is different.

But there are a few things we come back to every time.
1. Listen first.
2. Understand the purpose.
3. Connect the right people.
4. Create an experience around that purpose.
5. Then deliver it properly.

Simple in theory. Not always so simple in practice.

After 10 years, these principles still guide the way we work.

There is something powerful about a room full of people who have come together with a shared interest, an open mind and a willingness to listen.

The right room can spark an idea, introduce you to someone you didn't know you needed to meet, or simply give you a different perspective.

Creating those spaces has been a big part of our journey at OME.

And it's something we never take for granted.

What happens when the right people come together? That's where it gets interesting.

It's here Startup grind Gibraltar End of Year Pitch Battle 2026!

Last year we organised the first ever seed funding competition locally as part of the drive to keep the business community at the top of it's game. Now we are back. Our network, our mentors and judges all dedicated time and effort to empower our businesses, new and existing in this self-funded initiative. This is something we absolutely believe in. As Gibraltar becomes more connected, the opportunities for our businesses and entrepreneurs to reach further are growing. But so is the competition. At Startup Grind Gibraltar we want to invest in what originates here, better ideas, better businesses, stronger skills and more scalable thinking. Quite simply, let’s make what Gibraltar produces stronger, more ambitious and more internationally competitive.

The first event launches at 5:30pm on Tuesday 29th September at the Borealis Room, Sunborn Gibraltar . There’s no pitching on the night just a short introduction to this year’s competition followed by drinks, conversation and the opportunity to meet some of the people building what might come next. Applications are now open for the Startup Grind Gibraltar Pitch Battle, with a £5,000 funding prize for this year’s winner. We’re looking for startups and entrepreneurs solving real problems, building commercially viable ideas and prepared to think beyond Gibraltar from the outset. And we want the wider business community involved too.

August was a good month at OME.

The numbers are encouraging, but for us, it is never just about the numbers.

It is about showing up consistently, sharing what matters and building visibility around the work we do.

Quietly building. Keeping it moving.

And as we head into September, there is plenty more to come.

As summer starts to wind down, we can't help but look back at a season filled with great people, good energy and plenty of reasons to celebrate.

From bringing people together to creating moments that make us stop, connect and enjoy the occasion, it's been another busy summer for OME.

Now it's time to look ahead.

A new season, new ideas and plenty more to come.

Here's to making the most of what's next.

Some of the best things we have done through OME and Startup Grind Gibraltar have had very little to do with business.

This day with The Nautilus Project was about bringing people together for something that mattered, getting our hands dirty and giving back to the place we call home.

It's easy to talk about community. It's another thing to show up and be part of it.

Those are the initiatives I value most.

Here's to continuing to use what we have created to make a positive difference.

There is always more we can do, together.

Small place. Big ambition.

Gibraltar has always had a unique ability to bring people, ideas and opportunities together.

It's a community where relationships matter, where businesses grow through collaboration and where looking beyond our shores is part of who we are.

After ten years of building OME here, I'm still proud to be part of a place that thinks bigger than its size.

And there's plenty more to come.
