Getting to know Estefanía, Surgical Assistant and Veterinary Nurse at Quirino Gibraltar.
She has been part of the Quirino Gibraltar team for over 10 years, though her overall experience in the veterinary field spans more than 20 years. Throughout her career, she has worked in key areas such as consultations, surgery, hospitalization, and client care, always bringing a warm, dedicated, and detail-oriented approach.
Over the years, Estefanía has shown a genuine vocation for animal care. She is known for her cheerful personality, attention to detail, kindness with clients, and above all, her unconditional love for animals, regardless of the species.
Although she initially studied education at university, she found her true passion in the veterinary field. Since then, she has never stopped learning, growing, and contributing her experience to the daily work of the clinic.
One of her most defining traits is her strong interest in exotic pets. Driven by her own initiative, Estefanía has spent time learning and training in the care and handling of these unique animals, whose needs differ from those of dogs and cats. Her current pet, an axolotl, perfectly reflects her curiosity and love for the extraordinary.
At Quirino Gibraltar, Estefanía is much more than a veterinary assistant, she is a committed professional, a trusted colleague, and a vital part of the wellbeing of our patients and their families.

📅 Today is International Cat Day 🐱

What are these days for? To remind us of something important: responsible pet ownership.

🐾 There are already almost 5.8 million cats in Spain.

If you're thinking of getting one in your life:
✅ Adopt it
✅ Vaccinate and de-worm it
✅ Get it regular veterinary check-ups
✅ Have it neutered or spayed (it's now compulsory with the Animal Welfare Act!)
✅ Get it microchipped

❤️ And, above all, give it your time and affection.

Because looking after a cat is much more than just feeding it. It's about respecting its nature, protecting its health, and ensuring it has a happy and safe life.
