Dr. Cheyenne Bryant told Shannon Sharpe it breaks her heart that, despite all his success - turning everything he touches into “gold,” he still hasn’t truly found himself at 60.
She said he has spent his life operating from a certain mindset rather than connecting with his heart, leaving him with a “deficit of self.” Bryant added that fathering children without building a solid family foundation reflects a loss of self and a major self-love deficit.
According to her, the brokenness he externalizes mirrors him. She said he’s stuck between the man he wants to be and the “little boy” inside him.
Bryant pointed out that his pattern of transactional s*x gives him a false sense of control rooted in insecurity and fear. She described it as a “touch-and-go” behavior — the little boy inside the former NFL player who doesn’t know how to build something real because he’s afraid of getting stuck in a place he doesn’t know how to navigate.
Her message to Sharpe was direct: it’s time for that little boy to man up, grow the F up, and finally let his heart lead. She emphasized that living a transactional s*x life will never build a legacy.
