RE: False and Defamatory Claims Made by Pajawara Against O Boy
JulaKunda Music Entertainment, the official management of O Boy and Gambian Child, wishes to address the defamatory remarks made by Pajawara during his appearance on Tonyaa Kesso Talks with Alagie Muhammad aired on The Fatu Network on Sunday, April 20th, 2025.
During the interview, Pajawara falsely alleged that O Boy was paid to perform at the 2021 Best of the Best concert, failed to show up, and traveled to Senegal after receiving payment. We categorically state that these claims are false, misleading, and damaging to the reputation of O Boy.
O Boy was never paid to perform at Best of the Best 2021. In fact, he had a verbal agreement with Pajawara’s associate, Sticky B, to perform free of charge out of goodwill and support for the initiative. During that period, O Boy was actively preparing for his upcoming Jutunaya album launch, which included travel to Senegal for important production work.
While O Boy had every intention of honoring his commitment to perform, the lack of professionalism and disrespect displayed by the event organizers ultimately influenced his decision to withdraw from the lineup. His travel to Senegal had nothing to do with the concert, and at no point was any payment received from the event organizers.
Pajawara’s public claims are false, damaging, and defamatory to the reputation and integrity of O Boy and his brand. We therefore demand that Pajawara issue a public apology in video format within 24 hours from the time of this statement. This apology must be shared on the same platform where the defamatory statement was made (Tonyaa Kesso Talks on The Fatu Network), as well as on Pajawara’s official social media pages.
Failure to issue this apology within the given timeframe will leave us with no choice but to take the necessary steps to protect the integrity and reputation of our artist.
At JulaKunda Music, we remain committed to truth, professionalism, and integrity in the entertainment industry. We will not tolerate the spread of misinformation aimed at tearing down hardworking artists.
