It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Fankama Jammeh, a respected elderly woman from Brikama.

Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to preaching the word of Allah, encouraging peace, strengthening family ties, and promoting unity within the community.

Her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith touched the lives of many, and her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew her.

We kindly ask the general public to remember her in your sincere prayers. The burial will take place today at Brikama Willingara by 2:00 p.m. Family, friends, and members of the community are invited to join in paying their final respects.

May Allah (SWT) forgive all her shortcomings, have mercy upon her soul, expand and illuminate her grave, and grant her the highest place in Jannatul Firdaus.

Nyancho Reply To His Critic Saying: "In our culture, the griot’s job was never to praise only. The griot’s job was to tell the truth so the kingdom could survive.

This song is my griot duty. I didn’t make it to fight a person. I made it because silence was hurting more than the truth.

I sang about the hunger. About the youth with certificates but no jobs. About the mothers in the market trying to make ends meet. About the suffering I see on our streets every day.

To those who are happy that someone finally said it: thank you for hearing me.
To those who are not happy: I hear you too. My door is open.

Criticism is not disrespect. It’s love. You only correct what you care about. And I love this country.
