The mobile traffic unit of the Gambia Police Force boosted with sixty new motor bicycles.

Give it six months and few will remain road worthy. We hope they prove us wrong.

We like his responses to some of the cowards trying to taint the image of our armed forces.

Congratulations to him and all the other recipients.

We decided to engage our political strategist's opinion on Essa Mbye Faal. Short and precise but this is what he had to say:

"The diversity behind Adama Barrow is up for grasp. It may not be in the short term but in the long run that diversity is to be inherited. And perhaps the reason we see individuals like Momodou Sabally changing lanes. It is a similar diversity that had President Jawara in office for thirty years and may propel Adama Barrow to a third term. For individuals like Essa Faal, and believing he is perhaps the most suitable amongst all those being talked about but for his background, aligning himself with the current administration would half his challenges to the presidency. And I wish he gives it a think and act so to hand Kombo their first president."

End.

From emphasising on the urgent need to address the suffering in Gaza and a call for global unity in finding a lasting two-state solution to the Isreal Palestinian conflict, further encouraging cooperation among OIC member states in financing the legal cost in The Gambia's case against Myanmar, with a note of appreciation to South Africa in their efforts to holding Isreal accountable for their treatment of the Palestinians, to calling for a meaningful global dialogue in addressing cases of armed conflict, President Adama Barrow has probably just given his best speech of his presidency.

That speech deserves the rapturous applause it received. Well done Mr. President.

Bakary Badjie, from the day you assumed office in that ministry, all you have been tasked was to standardise a twenty five thousand seater stadia. And you seem to be struggling at it.

For God sake buckle up or go.

A ministry that should be at the fore front of the media, sharing excites of what it has in store for almost to sixty five percent of the population, is unfortunately as mute as a twelve century victorian clock.

It is not a good assessment on your part and ministry. We think that should change from now and working with the new energetic information minister, we expect to hear from you and your ministry more frequently.

Our One Percent This Sunny Thursday Morning:

Kanifing Municipal Council with Brikama Area Council have been accused of withholding their cleanses services with the aim to sabotage the forth coming OIC summit. Both councils are headed by Udp. A party that breaths on thwarting their political opponents efforts to bettering livelihoods and hardly presents policies.

With sympathisers at the national electricity company, the country, in the past days, has also started experiencing the frequent power cuts similar to those during the 2021 campaign period. All suspected to be acts of sabotage orchestrated by the Udp sympathisers during what is expected to be the nations finest moment in international relations.

A few weeks back, it was the ferries the engines to which still remains unserviceable.

Their party leader is on record to saying he will declare the country ungovernable following his failure to win the 2021 presidential elections.

Our One Percent This Beautiful Wednesday Morning:

Ha! Apparently there is a fatwa binding on members and supporters of the United Democratic Party to deny services, both public and private to individuals they deem as critics. A duress to suppress, ostracise and frustrate but more significantly to deprive these people the right to enjoy public and private services.

Often, we understand, the critics they earmarked are labelled as tribalist and Mandinka haters or individuals of Mandinka decent who hates their kin. A statement, which forwarded to any unsuspecting individual, the chances are the individual will fall for the crap.

So watch out when out there. They are using this despicable method to drive a wedge between our people and gain support where they wouldn't have.

They disgust us.

Our Additional One Percent This Tuesday Morning:

As Banjul prepares to host the 15th OIC Summit, member states or territories experiencing armed conflict includes Palestine, Yemen, Syria, Mali and Myanmar. A list which may include more.

We think they are a useless bunch. Often with the prevalence of human rights violations in their own countries. Jamal Kasogi's assassination under the orders of Bin Salman coupled with the degrading treatment of migrant workers in some of these Arab countries is an example.

Momodou Alieu Njie, a son to the chairman of the IEC, in what seems a concessionary statement following weeks of insults and malicious tribal attacks from the supporters of the Udp, said his father, Alh. Alieu Momarr Njie, will step down from his position as chairman of the electoral body in March 2025.

Alh. Alieu Momarr Njie was the chairman of the same body in 2016 when Jammeh lost the elections.
