The Gambia Immigration Department (GID) has collected D584.4 million from January to October 2025 — a 112% increase compared to the same period in 2024 and already higher than the 2024 annual total.

The revenue boost is attributed to improved financial systems, stricter border control, faster documentation services, and stronger enforcement of aliens registration. GID also expanded access to national documents and advanced the rollout of the ECOWAS Biometric ID Card.
