Following the release of the dates for the Super Cup Finals and the commencement of the 2025 GFF league, players of Greater Tomorrow FC have bursted into wild frustration, questioning the decision of the Organizing Committee of Gambia Football Federation to stage the Super Cup Final against Real De Banjul FC in Basori.

The players of the Brikama based club have frowned at the decision, calling it bias and act of giving opportunity to Real De Banjul FC to chinch the Super Cup trophy in their home soil.

Below are some of the messages of frustration from the players of Greater Tomorrow FC ahead of the Super Cup Final against Real De Banjul FC.

"We want to write on all social media platforms that we are not playing in Basori. None of our fans will even travel to Basori, so let them take the trophy, but we're not playing.

Another player wrote.
"Ofcuz, they should try all d best to stand for us because it isn't fair like this mein! How comes playing against Real De Banjul, and we are taken to Basori, which is the home for Real De Banjul? Please put this into consideration🙏 before it's too late."

CONSTRUCTION OF A COLDSTORE TO BEGIN AT THE BRIKAMA KABAFITA FOOTBALL FIELD.

After months of delay due to disputes between the authorities and the youths of Kabafita and Wellingara over the football field, work is expected to begin this week as contractors already cleared parts of the field and also brought in their equipments.

According to Governor Lamin Sanneh, this football field was handed over to Brikama area Council under the leadership of former Chairman Sheriffo Sonko to build a Market but has never been materialised.

the same place was then allocated to GTSC to build a Bus Station which again never happened.

The field is allegedly been sold by the original owners (name withheld).

We understood that this is hard to accept for the youths of the community but using an empty land for sport still doesn’t make it yours, we will advise them to follow protocol and engage in dialogue to be allocated a designated place for sports..
