FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS TO BUILDING A LEGACY

From the humble business of selling bowls, Mr. Jah ventured into the petroleum industry, building a business that expanded across the length and breadth of The Gambia and eventually reaching across the border into Senegal.

He went on to invest in cement manufacturing, establishing cement factories in Bafuloto and Farafenni (Bereto), contributing to the country’s growing construction sector and creating opportunities for many people.
He also ventured into the soap manufacturing industry, demonstrating his commitment to investing in local production and reducing reliance on imported products.
In the area of food security and essential commodities, Mr. Jah also became involved in the importation of rice, helping make one of the most important staples in the Gambian household more accessible and affordable to ordinary Gambians.
And perhaps one of the most significant chapters of his journey is the establishment of Jah Agric Food Farm in Bayaba—an investment in agriculture, food production, employment, and the future of The Gambia.
Through his various investments and businesses, Mr. Hamidou Jah has created thousands of jobs and livelihoods, directly and indirectly impacting families and communities across the country.
