The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF), in collaboration with the Commonwealth Secretariat, has commenced a five-day Military Justice System training for 25 personnel at the Joint Officersโ€™ Mess in Kotu.

United Zone Fulbe The Gambia has donated 100 sanitary pads to female inmates at the Female Wing of Mile 2 Central Prison. The donation, presented on 24 July 2026, aims to support menstrual hygiene and promote the health, dignity, and well-being of women in custody.

Today, I came across an inspiring message from a young Gambian, Sebastian Mendes Tchaga, President of the ECOWAS Club at Maahad Senior Secondary School and Senior Councillor of his school.

Sebastian has expressed his admiration for Hon. Halifa Sallah and hopes to meet him one day to learn about leadership, democracy, and public service. It is encouraging to see young people seeking guidance from experienced leaders and wanting to contribute positively to our nation.
