Tostan Gambia and Senegal with support from UN Women (ACT) Is working on a programme in the two sister countries to promote gender equity, collaborate with partners to reduce Gender Based Ciolence (GBV) and empowerment for sustainable community well being.
The Project "Advocacy Action and Transformative Feminist Coalition to End Violence Against Women in West and Central Africa " aims to systematize a framework for collaboration between networks of local organisations, network of national CSOs, governments and religious and traditional leaders with communities to reduce inequalities between men and women , and empower communities in their own development.
AIM OF THE PROJECT IS TO:

THE OBJECTIVES ARE:
1. Women-led organisational networks (Federations) in Senegal and Gambai are committed to developing collective visions of well being and promoting the abandonment of violence against women and girls.
2. National CSO networks promoting the rights of women and girls and government partners collectively adapt and implement policies promoting gender equity and the end of violence against women and girls.
EXPECTED RESULTS OF THE PROJECTS ARE:
Network of community Management Communities (CMCs), recognised as local women-led organisations in Senegal 🇸🇳 and The Gambia 🇬🇲, are collectively committed, to collaboration with traditional land religious leaders , to promoting gender equality and ending violence against women and girls.
