I was deeply saddened to hear about the unexpected departure of Sh. Tairou Ebrima Koraja Ka in the young hours of Friday morning. Please, my sincere condolences to the family and all the Muslim ummah during this profoundly difficult time.
Sh. Tairou Ka was an incredible religious figure who touched the lives of all and sundry. Sh. Tairou's impactful message played role in our deen and we will forever be cherished and honored him for that. ''There is only one Allah, the Holy Quran is one, he added that he who is careless is the one who pray and at the end of the prayers, you get lazy to do salatul fatiha''. He always said ''Strongly hold on to Salatul fatiha and never leave it eternally.
It was a moment that truly exemplified his kindness and gnostic station. His presence enriched our lives, and I am grateful to have had the privilege of knowing him and I will always be proud to have been drenched the secrets by him.
I understand that words can hardly provide the meaning of all I want to say when faced with such a tremendous loss. However, I hope you find some solace in knowing that you are in our thoughts and prayers. My Sh. Tairou Ka will be deeply missed and remembered.
May Allah SWT, who is the first, the last, manifest and unseen rest his soul in Jannah and continue to walk us on his favorite path.

Tostan Gambia and Senegal with support from UN Women (ACT) Is working on a programme in the two sister countries to promote gender equity, collaborate with partners to reduce Gender Based Ciolence (GBV) and empowerment for sustainable community well being.
The Project "Advocacy Action and Transformative Feminist Coalition to End Violence Against Women in West and Central Africa " aims to systematize a framework for collaboration between networks of local organisations, network of national CSOs, governments and religious and traditional leaders with communities to reduce inequalities between men and women , and empower communities in their own development.

AIM OF THE PROJECT IS TO:
Systematize a framework for collaboration between networks of local organisations, natio Al CSO networks, governments and religious and traditional leaders with communities to reduce inequalities and empower communities in their own development.

THE OBJECTIVES ARE:
1. Women-led organisational networks (Federations) in Senegal and Gambai are committed to developing collective visions of well being and promoting the abandonment of violence against women and girls.
2. National CSO networks promoting the rights of women and girls and government partners collectively adapt and implement policies promoting gender equity and the end of violence against women and girls.

EXPECTED RESULTS OF THE PROJECTS ARE:
Network of community Management Communities (CMCs), recognised as local women-led organisations in Senegal 🇸🇳 and The Gambia 🇬🇲, are collectively committed, to collaboration with traditional land religious leaders , to promoting gender equality and ending violence against women and girls.
