Kir-Yianni • A green campaign in action | Its Ble Tracter wine turned… green, not by changing its name or colour but through reducing the weight of its bottle!

‣ Starting from 2025, Estate – the first Greek winery to join "International Wineries for Climate Action", reduces the weight of the Ble Tracter bottle (across the white, rosé, and red range) by 90 grams.

‣ This seemingly minor adjustment leads to a pivotal environmental impact:

💚 Within just one year, it is expected to save 34.2 tons of glass and reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 11.2 tons: the equivalent of the electricity consumed by an average four-person household over five years, or the gasoline used by a typical car over 3.6 years!

🌊 Made with pure traditional ingredients and free from preservatives, all drinks by Amorgion Ρακόμελο offer a well-balanced flavor!

‣ Since ancient times, the residents of the island of Amorgos and the Small Cyclades have been preparing a traditional homemade drink to welcome their guests. Inspired by this drink, the beverage company was founded in 2003.

‣ By adding honey and eight native herbs, Amorgion (25% ABV) and Amorgion (20% ABV) were officially created. Before starting production, the company patented the recipe with the Organization of Industrial Property and registered the names "Rakomelo" and "Amorgion Rakomelo". Brewed from grapes (raki), sugar, honey, and herbs, with no preservatives, these exquisite drinks stand out for their unique composition.

🥂 Cheers to the excellence of Greek Spirits & Distillates, which are gaining global acclaim for their unique flavors and distinct identity!

‣ The Greek spirits industry experiences a constant upward trend in exports. In 2023, exports of Greek alcoholic beverages saw an increase of +9.4% in value, surpassing the €100 million mark (from €97 million to €106 million). On the contrary, exports of European alcoholic drinks had an overall decline of 7%.

‣ A similar overview was observed also in the first half of 2024 compared to the same period of 2023, further confirming the positive outlook.

💬 "The EU-27 member states have consistently been the most significant export destinations for Greek spirits. Our future expectations include China, South Korea, and South Africa, as they are markets where Greek spirits still have limited pe*******on", stated the President of ΣΕΑΟΠ - Σύνδεσμος Ελλήνων Παραγωγών Αποσταγμάτων & Αλκοολούχων Ποτών – Greek Federation of Spirits Producers, Mr. Charis Mavrakis, talking to Ambrosia Magazine.
