May 23 is World Wrestling Day, the highlight of a month of events known as World Wrestling Month.
On this occasion, we are thrilled to share with you a short teaser from "Brothers in Wrestling", (a film by Dimitris Sideridis and Anna Prokou ), our upcoming film that is currently in post-production.
Throughout history, Kolhapur has been a wrestling powerhouse in India.
Hundreds of boys move to the city every year
to train in 'kushti', a traditional form of wrestling played on soil.
Wrestling has been deeply connected to human existence throughout the centuries.
Initially a means of survival, it later evolved into a practice for developing physical harmony and growth.

The fourth episode of “The Story Behind The Photo” features the late Dr. Christopher Paul Lowe (1963-2024), a British photographer, associate of The VII Foundation and head of the postgraduate programme in photojournalism and documentary photography at the London College of Communication, University of the Arts.
Lowe captured life in Sarajevo during the Siege and the subsequent post-war period, leaving behind a significant body of work, including photographs documenting daily life in Sarajevo from 1992 to 1996.
This interview was conducted in 2019 and was intended to be the first episode, however, it remained unpublished in the hope of creating more content with Lowe, which, unfortunately, his unexpected death prevented...

The third episode of The Story Behind the Photo features British TV and Film cameraman David Barker who worked for the BBC during the Siege of Sarajevo in 1994 on a five-part documentary series titled ‘Siege Doctors'.
While David Barker was in Sarajevo he took some important pictures of the city and its citizens, he photographed children playing in the park and the daily lives of ordinary Sarajevans.
In this episode, he recounts the heartbreaking incident in which two young siblings were killed in an explosion.

"The Story Behind The Photo," Italian photojournalist Mario Boccia talks about his encounters with the foreign fighters from Greece and Russia who used to come to Bosnia and Herzegovina joining the Serb Army to kill civilians.
Some would say "volunteers" and some would call them "mercenaries".

The SniperAlley.Photo project, launched by Dzemil Hodzic, aims to locate and archive photographs taken during the Sarajevo siege (1992–1995). As part of this initiative, the series “The Story Behind the Photo” features foreign photojournalists recounting the stories behind their images from the siege. The first episode of the series' second season focuses on photographer and anthropologist Staffan Löfving and his photograph of two young girls in wartime Sarajevo.

"The Story Behind The Photo," Swedish photographer and anthropologist Staffan Löfving tells us about his 1994 trip to Sarajevo. Staffan discusses his extensive work in visual anthropology and his attempts to comprehend the political and social value of battle images in post-conflict cultures. Watch him describe what he refers to as "Imperfect Shots" in this episode. He donated the History Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina his collection of photos from Sarajevo.
