1. Square Hammer became the breakthrough hit of the EP and remains a fan favorite.

2. On Missionary Man & Bible, harmonica + backing vocals came from Sofia Kempe & Brian Reed.

3. Popestar debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums, making history as the first EP ever to hit the top spot, selling 21,000 copies in its first week.

4. Right after its release, Ghost kicked off the Popestar Tour (North America), later giving us the live album Ceremony and Devotion.

5. On March 1, 2017, Popestar won the Swedish Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock/Metal! 🏆

Celebrating 10 Years of “From the Pinnacle to the Pit”.

Ten years ago today, on September 14, 2015, Ghost unveiled the music video “From the Pinnacle to the Pit” as the second single from their third studio album Meliora.

Directed by Zev Deans, the video channels the haunting aesthetic of 1920s silent cinema. It also incorporates unforgettable scenes from Cecil B. DeMille’s 1930 film Madame Satan, including the iconic dance of actress Kay Johnson and actor Reginald Denny.

Its story follows a student summoned to the headmaster’s office, where he is shown how man can seize the power of a god. Bestowed with that power, he transforms into an all-powerful figure — only to loathe what he has become. This descent and rebirth lead to the rise of Papa Emeritus III.

On this day six years ago, Ghost gifted us the Seven Inches of Satanic Panic, the 2-track EP featuring Kiss the Go-Goat and Mary on a Cross, released as a vinyl single.

📀 On 12 September 2019, the band dropped the official video for Kiss the Go-Goat, showing Papa Nihil as frontman of Ghost at the iconic Whisky a Go Go in West Hollywood, 1969.

🌙 Mary on a Cross, which first appeared in the film RITE HERE RITE NOW as an animated sequence, was later released on 25 July 2024 as a standalone animated video directly from the film. On 7 September, it became Ghost’s first-ever platinum-certified single by the RIAA, achieving over 1 million sales and streaming equivalents in the United States.

🇬🇷 Στις 25 Αυγούστου 1951 γεννήθηκε ο Robert-John-Arthur Halford στο Sutton Coldfield, Warwickshire, Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο.

Ο Rob Halford είναι ο θρυλικός frontman των Judas Priest, γνωστός για το ισχυρό και ευρύ φάσμα της οπερατικής φωνής του και για το iconic στιλ με δέρμα και καρφιά, που έχουν γίνει εμβληματικά στο heavy metal. Έχει επίσης συμμετάσχει σε παράπλευρα projects όπως Fight, Two και Halford.

Οι Judas Priest έχουν επισκεφτεί την Ελλάδα αρκετές φορές, προσφέροντας αξέχαστες στιγμές στους Έλληνες fans.

Στις 13 Ιουνίου 2022, κατά τη συναυλία τους στην γενέτειρα του Tobias Forge, Linköping, Σουηδία, ο Tobias είχε την ευκαιρία να συναντήσει τον Rob Halford! Ο Rob Halford έχει δηλώσει σε συνεντεύξεις ότι είναι θαυμαστής των Ghost.

Rob Halford is the legendary frontman of Judas Priest, known for his powerful and wide-ranging operatic vocals and his iconic leather-and-studs style, which has become emblematic in heavy metal. He has also participated in side projects such as Fight, Two, and Halford.

Judas Priest have performed in Greece several times, delivering unforgettable moments for their Greek fans.

On June 13, 2022, during a concert in the hometown of Tobias Forge, Linköping, Sweden, Tobias had the opportunity to meet Rob Halford! Rob Halford has also stated in interviews that he is a fan of Ghost.
