Allow me to introduce myself
I am the magazine you are holding and my name is EYE. I would like to introduce myself as your companion in these internet-influenced years, and I smell as inviting as open window. Sometimes you may find me closed, but I’m still definitely a window of possibilities.
You can play with me, turn me around, upside down, examine me form whatever angle suits your personal orientation, but do not seek logic in the words written and the photos presented on my pages. They are there merely to fulfil the aesthetic requirements of the audience of a unique magazine, just as the various creators of this magazine seek to do. I am the combination of all of those things.
After all, is there really any reason for the things that stimulate you, mentally or emotionally, on a daily basis? I do not taste like a reason, more like an excuse. An excuse that you might need not to cross the pedestrian crossing with the first green light, but rather to wait for the next one, so you can remain mesmerised by the changing sequence of colourful lights. An excuse for being deliberately late for work and missing that important meeting, so you can eat this delicious donut. Or even an excuse to start doubting conventional art and stereotypical slogans. Or an excuse for all the things that we justifiably like so much.
