Shark, Pagrus, Mottled and Dusky Groupers!!!
A trip to the Dodecanese, with the first stop at the small island of Halki, which offered us rare and impressive sights!
A rare encounter with a Shark, a beautiful Pagrus of about 4 kilos, several Dusky groupers ranging from 2 to over 10 kilos and an Mottled grouper at an impressive drop-off from 25m going down to more than 70m deep!!!

Fishing at a deep, scary shipwreck, and the big amberjacks will make their appearance!
A large Dentex on the deep reef, a big Dusky grouper over 15 kilos on the deep drop-off and
an impressive bow emerging from the depths and hanging beyond 40 meters!
Those were the highlights of the day, up until the moment when the school of big Amberjacks finally surrounded me at the eerie deep shipwreck!

It was clearly the day of the Giant Dusky groupers, as we found 3 fish weighing between 17 and over 20 kilos, along with some hefty Golden groupers!
The second day of the fishing trip at the remote, hard-to-reach spot did not disappoint as it filled us with amazing sights and of course, with fish!

A trip that only few would take an those few, would probably be new spearos, with the fire of the search for the trophy fish still burning strong!
Α 16hours trip to Crete and back for two dives only, hoping to come across the big Amberjacks!
The Sea was pretty rough and we where the only boat that left the port!
We hit the water with first light and just 30min later, no fish around and the big swell will make Giannis and Nikos seasick and they will get on the boat and will ask me to head back!
One last dive to get the anchor unstuck...and behold...the shoal of the big Amberjacks...is just under my feet!!!
