ZELZELEH (Faraway Ghost & Sunken Cages) Live

Dark Electronic / Avant-Folk από Ιράν και Ινδία

𝗭𝗘𝗟𝗭𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗛 (“σεισμός” στα Φαρσί) είναι το νέο project δύο καταξιωμένων μουσικών και ακαδημαϊκών: του Ιρανού τραγουδιστή, πολυοργανίστα και συνθέτη Kamyar Arsani και του Ινδού περκασιονίστα και παραγωγού ηλεκτρονικής μουσικής Ravish Momin . Οι δύο μουσικοί συνδυάζουν στίχους εμπνευσμένους από την περσική ποίηση με ρυθμούς από τους δρόμους της Μουμπάι, δομημένους πάνω σε περίτεχνα ηλεκτρονικά ηχοτοπία. Η δεξιοτεχνία του Arsani στις περσικές κλασικές μουσικές κλίμακες (dastgahs) και τα εκφραστικά φωνητικά του, που σε αρκετές στιγμές αποτυπώνουν τις punk καταβολές του, εναρμονίζονται με το πολυρυθμικό live-looping και το ηλεκτρονικό drumming του Momin. Μαζί, δημιουργούν έναν μοναδικό ήχο που περιγράφεται ως “Digital Sufi Music”. Το Νοέμβριο του 2024 κυκλοφόρησαν το πρώτο τους άλμπουμ με τίτλο “Ashk Haye Moghevemat” (Tears of Resilience), στη γαλλική δισκογραφική Akuphone, ένα άλμπουμ -φόρο τιμής στους κοινούς αγώνες των λαών ενάντια στην καταπίεση σε όλο τον κόσμο. Ξεχωρίζει το “Threnody for the Children”, ένα κομμάτι - ύμνος στα πάνω από 11.300 παιδιά που δολοφονήθηκαν από τον ισραηλινό στρατό από τον περασμένο Οκτώβριο, εκ των οποίων το 30% ήταν μικρότερα των 5 ετών.
