Post 3/3

If I want to grow and evolve as an artist-and as a person-I had to make some important changes:

• Say no to overlapping projects.
• Say no to tasks outside of what was agreed upon.
• Say yes to my body when it asks for rest.

The most important step was asking for help: help to accept my situation, and help to create a recovery plan.

At first, I couldn’t focus 100%, but I regained enough clarity to organize my overdue tasks and create a more reasonable schedule.

Returning to ongoing projects wasn’t easy. I know my delays caused inconvenience for some clients, and I deeply regret that. But sticking to my new routine helped me stay on track, even if it didn’t align perfectly with everyone’s timelines.

To my surprise, some clients showed me more support and patience than I ever expected. I’m incredibly grateful for their kindness and understanding. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Minas, Foivos, Kostis, and Miss Stefi for your conscious and subconscious support during this time—it meant the world to me.

I’d also like to thank and , two exceptional CG artists who helped me overcome the challenges of 2024. Your dedication and expertise were invaluable. I’m excited about the future of our partnership, and I look forward to sharing our vision for a new collaborative brand soon.

I’m sharing these thoughts publicly because I know many artists face similar struggles. When you’re stuck in a cycle of stress and fight-or-flight, it’s hard to understand what’s happening to your body—and even harder to find a way out.

But it is possible. It’s a process, and it takes time. Yet, I know this journey will lead me to a better version of myself.

If you’re going through something similar, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d love to help in any way I can.

Lastly—and most importantly—I want to thank my wife. She has always been my rock, supporting me and our children no matter what. She deserves the best life possible, and I will do everything in my power to make that happen for her.

I wish you all a healthy and creative 2025!
It’s time to heal. It’s time to enjoy. 🥂

Part 2/3

Thankfully, the New Year’s holidays gave me the space to reflect, restore my health, and rebuild my confidence. I needed to understand why this happened, how to heal, and how to maintain a positive mindset moving forward.

So, how can an artist fight resistance and reignite their creative force?

1️⃣ Workout
Simple, consistent, and enjoyable exercise became a game-changer. It cleared the mental fog, boosted my energy, and helped me regain focus. A huge thank you to my friend and coach —you’ve been an incredible guide on this journey.

2️⃣ Reading Books
Books became a powerful tool for self-reflection and growth. They offered wisdom on procrastination, managing anxiety, spirituality, and navigating life’s darker moments. Here are some of the titles that made a real difference:
• When the Body Says No by Gabor Maté
• The Biology of Belief by Bruce Lipton
• The War of Art by Steven Pressfield
• Becoming Supernatural by Joe Dispenza
• The Source: Secrets of the Universe, the Science of the Brain by Tara Swart

Each one offered guidance, helping me reframe my struggles and reconnect with my creative purpose.

3️⃣ Journaling
Putting my thoughts on paper became a lifeline. It helped me untangle my emotions, process my experiences, and find clarity—especially during moments of emptiness and doubt. Journaling turned out to be an act of self-compassion and discovery.

Stay tuned for the final part of this series, where I’ll share how to protect your creative mindset and keep it thriving in the long run.

Last Sunday, I turned 40.
I still can’t believe how fast the years have flown by.

My forties had always been a personal milestone—a target I set with 500s Studio to achieve a successful business and a true work-life balance. By all accounts, 2024 was an incredible year for the studio: large-scale projects from top-tier architects, exciting collaborations with talented CG artists, and everything I had once dreamed of achieving.

Except it wasn’t.

For years, my top priority as a professional was to be a service tool for architectural studios—always on time, always consistent, always delivering better work than before. My energy went entirely into my craft and the growth of 500s Studio as a small-scale creative powerhouse.

In the process, I forgot that I’m human.
I ignored my body. I ignored my needs.
• No free time.
• Constant stress.
• Poor sleep.
• Junk food.
• No time for my family.

I had to deliver.
I had to be better.
I had to keep going—no matter what.

Until my body said no.
And then my mind said no too.

For the first time in my life, I couldn’t push through another hour. I couldn’t ignore the pain. I couldn’t suppress the headaches, the fatigue, or the mental fog. I was burned out, creatively drained, and disconnected from myself. And then, a serious illness in my family made everything even harder.

Depression. Anxiety. Stress.
These became my new reality.

They forced me to stop. To look inward. To face the shadows I had been avoiding for years and ask myself:
Who am I, and what do I want from the years ahead?

It was time to pause.
To reflect.
To heal the connection between my body and my mind.

In the next post, I’ll share some of the most helpful practices and tools that guided me through this challenging period and helped me understand what was happening.
