One of the major dissemination activities during the last period of the Stories4All project at Chania, Crete, was the use of project results in terms of methodology and tools (eShadow LCE) to contribute to an important local programme initiated by the Municipality of Chania to promote road safety and sustainable mobility. Using the Stories4All tools, local kindergartens had the opportunity to animate stories related to the programme theme and engage in the creative use of digital technologies.
During the programme's final conference, held on June 17th, 2026, participating schools, local authorities, and organisations presented their experiences and shared ideas for next steps.

🎭🔬 Bringing the history of science to life with eShadow LCE!

On Friday, 25 September 2026, the TUC/MUSIC lab team of the Technical University of Crete welcomed children to an interactive eShadow LCE installation at European Researchers’ Night in Chania, hosted at the 1st Experimental Junior High School of Chania.

European Researchers’ Night is a Europe-wide celebration that brings researchers and the public together through hands-on activities, experiments and discovery. It is an opportunity for people of all ages to meet the people behind research and explore science in creative, accessible ways.

🎨 At our installation, children explored the lives and achievements of remarkable scientists and engineers, from ancient times to the present. They painted figures representing these inspiring people and then brought them to life on screen using eShadow LCE!

Volunteer students from the Technical University of Crete supported the event: Maria Giannakourou and Mariza Moumoutzi, along with Christina Grigoraki, painter and primary teacher. Many thanks for their support, which made this event a great success!

Inspired by shadow theatre, eShadow LCE is the digital storytelling platform provided by TUC’s MUSIC Lab as part of the Stories4All project. By connecting the craft of making and colouring figures with digital puppetry, the activity brought art, science and technology together in a playful learning experience.

✨ A scientist’s story, a child’s imagination, a figure set in motion - a meeting of discovery and creativity in the spirit of Stories4All!

On Saturday 26 September, 2026, Nektarios Moumoutzis, representing the Stories4All team of the Technical University of Crete, gave an invited talk at the 16th International Conference on Digital Presentation and Preservation of Cultural and Scientific Heritage (DiPP 2026) held in Burgas, Bulgaria. The title of the invited talk was "eShadow LCE: Evolution of a Digital Shadow Theatre Platform to Support Analog Puppet Digitization and Collaboration". Details were given about the eShadow LCE digital storytelling platform and its development and use within the context of the Stories4All project emphasizing the 3-day training event of the project at Chania, Greece on September 2025.

🇩🇪 Stories4all Final Conference | Mainz, Germany

After almost three years of collaboration, the Stories4all journey reached its final chapter in Mainz. ✨

On 31 August 2026, the project partners came together for their final transnational project meeting (TPM). It was a valuable moment to look back at the project’s achievements, coordinate the final tasks and discuss how the materials, methods and digital tools developed within Stories4all can continue to be used and shared beyond the project’s official end.

The following day, on 1 September, we held the Stories4all Final Conference. 🎓🌍

The hybrid event brought together 18 participants in Mainz and more than 40 participants online from the partner countries. The project partners presented the main results and experiences from almost three years of work, including the Stories4all methodology, Digital Storytelling, eShadow, learning materials, the training programme and the Teachers’ Guide.

Through interactive activities and discussions, participants also explored how digital storytelling, creativity and digital tools can contribute to more inclusive and engaging learning environments.

From our first meetings in 2023 to the final gathering in Mainz, Stories4all has been a journey of collaboration, creativity, learning and shared ideas across Germany, Greece, Poland and Czechia. 🇩🇪🇬🇷🇵🇱🇨🇿

A big thank you to all our partners, participants and everyone who contributed to making Stories4all possible. ❤️

The project may be coming to an end, but the stories, ideas, methods and resources continue. 📖💻✨

🌍 Stories4All multiplier events across Europe!

The Stories4All project brought together teachers, educators and other stakeholders across Europe to share experiences, explore digital storytelling and discuss how the eShadow application can be used in educational practice.

🇨🇿 Czechia | Brno – 24 June 2026
In cooperation with Mendel University in Brno, the Pelican project team welcomed 33 participants at the Design Lab. Teachers, teacher trainees and leisure-time centre staff learned more about the project, explored the eShadow application and discovered its possibilities through practical demonstrations and videos.

🇬🇷 Greece | Athens – 22 May 2026
The University of West Attica hosted a multiplier event focused on reviewing and evaluating the project outputs. Participants shared valuable feedback and ideas on how eShadow could support their own practice, helping refine the project's results and strengthen their future use and dissemination.

🇵🇱 Poland | Warsaw – 7 May 2026
Polish teachers Paulina Andruszkiewicz-Glińska and Edyta Wernicka, who took part in the training in Chania, shared their experiences with digital storytelling and design thinking. Their insights sparked an inspiring exchange of ideas and showed the potential of creative digital approaches in education. 💡

Three countries, many inspiring educators, and one shared goal: bringing digital storytelling into meaningful educational practice. 🌱

We’re introducing two members of the Stories4all team from Pelican! 🌍✨

💬 Karolína Petrová holds a degree in Foreign Language Teaching and has extensive experience working with children and teenagers, including migrants and young people from socially disadvantaged and under-resourced communities. Her work is driven by inclusion, communication and empathy. ❤️🌱

💬 Patricie Jurasova is a PR Manager and Teacher Trainer. She studied Intercultural Communication and Czech Language at Masaryk University in Brno. Since 2018, she has been involved in the preparation, coordination and administration of European projects as a project coordinator, data collector and researcher. 📚🌐

Together, their expertise and experience help us create more inclusive, engaging and meaningful educational opportunities for everyone. 🤝✨

Here is our Polish colleague, Paulina Marchlik from the University of Warsaw at ATEE 2026 conference in Białystok with the postert: Digital Dialogues in the Early Primary Classroom: Supporting the Development of Foreign Language Skills Through Content Creation. The Erasmus+ project Stories4all develops and pilots’ innovative approaches to using digital storytelling in both formal and informal learning contexts. The project supports educators in combining creative methods with digital technologies to foster inclusive learning environments.

At the heart of the project are the development of practical teaching and learning resources and the promotion of collaboration between educators, learners, and researchers. Stories4all aims to strengthen inclusive educational processes through digital storytelling and to provide new impulses for innovative and inclusive teaching practices.

During the Final Conference, we will present the project's key results, educational resources and digital tools and explore together how these approaches can be applied in different teaching and learning contexts.

Yesterday, Tuesday 7/7/2026, a workshop was offered to the participants of the Summer Camp organized by the Chani Chania Film Festival, our collaborating teacher and painter Christina Grigora, and our volunteers Aggeliki Christopoulou and Maria Giannakourou. The workshop focused on creating and animating stories with eShadow, based on paintings by Christina that illustrate historical sites and landmarks from Chania and Cyprus.
