Terra Kulture is a leading art, culture, lifestyle and educational centre in Lagos, Nigeria. Founded by Bolanle Austen Peters in 2003, Terra Kulture remains committed to celebrating the richness of Nigerian culture by promoting the diversity of its languages, hosting a reading and documentation centre, and organising thematic exhibitions in its art gallery. Alongside its renowned theatre arena, Terra Kulture hosts a Nigerian restaurant where local delicacies like jollof rice, ofada rice, and assorted stews are served to the delight of Lagosians. Pictured is efo riro, a traditional Yoruba spinach stew (generally eaten with rice or eba) which you are likely to come across at Terra Kulture. Spicy, flavourful and personalised at the cook’s command, it remains one of the signature dishes of Lagos Island. A culinary tour de force. Mine is made with smoked mackerel.
