* Online store Soul Traits is a screen printing and creative studio based in Patras, Greece.

The studio began back in 2017, when it started publishing an independent collective art magazine that focused on showcasing work by artists from all over the globe covering the fields of illustration, photography, collage, comics, and inventive writing. In its printed pages, the mag featured an eclectic range of international creators, both established and emerging. The theme of each issue was def

ined by an initial project; a starting point for creating that took the contributing artists into different experimental and exploratory directions. The release of the publication, distributed in selected bookstores and galleries around Europe, led to the organisation of events and festivals featuring the participating artists. For example, exhibitions of the artists took place at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and at Soundtrope Festival in Ioannina, Greece. Today, Soul Traits specialise in printing on fabric, but are open to working with a variety of media and collaborative projects. Their processes are entirely manual and eco-friendly, and all of their t-shirts hand printed in limited quantities using water-based inks.

Mastering the art of the photographic lens this time, the awarded and internationally acclaimed film director invites us to enter his creative universe in a whole new light. Featuring shots that drift between black and white and colour, reality and fiction, and captured during the filming of ‘Poor Things’, ‘Dear God, the Parthenon is still broken’ is a book that inhabits a separate world, untethered from time and place. The negatives -developed by Yorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone after a long day of filming in a makeshift darkroom at a bathroom- come together with an unpublished and specially crafted poem by Patti Smith.

Projects like these make all the late nights in the studio worth it.

Our Story

Soul Traits is a 2-part project that houses an independent publication of contemporary art and a T-shirt brand - screen printing studio.

Our screen printing studio is based in Patras, Greece. We are passionate about the screen printing technique and its possibilities and although we specialise in printing on fabric, we are open to work on all types of media and participate in all kinds of projects. Our processes are completely manual and eco-friendly. We emphasize on people over product. Our main goal is to bring cultures and communities together - it's not about clothes, it is about stories and relationships. That is why much of the brand narrative is told through collaborations, with artists such as Lola Dupre and Twee Muizen. Soul Traits zine covers the fields of illustration, photography, collage and creative writing. In its printed pages, it features an eclectic range of international creators, both established and emerging.
