Dj Nova is a Greek-based DJ, tastemaker, and radio personality whose name is a homage to the famous French Radio Nova. A music lover since a very early age, Nova met the airwaves in December 2003 when he started broadcasting his "Nova Planet" radio show every Wednesday evening on "Rodon FM 95" at his hometown of Serres, Greece. The two-hour show took the listeners on a journey through a broad spec

trum of electronic music genres: Nu jazz, Lounge, Deep House, Afro, Latin, Funk, Balearic, Chill Out, Brazillian, Disco, and Japanese. Thanks to Nova's exquisite music style (and with some help from the internet) the show quickly gained worldwide popularity to become one of the authoritative destinations for electronic music aficionados in Greece and beyond. Nova has held live interviews with Michael Reinboth, Nicola Conte, Fabrice Lig, Ralf Droesemeyer, Christos Kedras, Truby Trio, Deladap, Tobias Meggle, Christian Prommer, S-tone Inc, Intuit, Carouge, Eddy Ramich, Felix Laband, Helmut Neugebauer, Dealers Of Nordic Music, Milto Eph, Heiko laux and many others. He has also been responsible for the broadcasting of six international radio shows on Rodon FM 95: “Beyond Jazz”, “Urban Landscapes”, “Basic Soul”, “Migrations”, “Soilsound Chronicles”, ‘’Peacelounge Sessions’’ and “Beat Philosophy”. Outside Rodon FM, Nova has participated with exclusive mixes in soulseduction.com radio days. His "Casa Del Sol" chill out show has reached as far as Canada's PUSH RADIO webradio. He compiles periodic podcasts under two series: "Labelology" (focusing on a specific music label) and "If I was a Balearic DJ" (focusing on balearic-influenced releases). He also runs the internet label "MoRNiNG SuN:TouCH" whose releases are available as free downloads under a creative-commons license. Working with labels from all over the world Nova has a number of compilation CDs under his belt like "Night & Day" on Prominence Records (Greece), "Tokyo Fashion District" on Cool D:Vision (Italy), the "Nova Planet House Sessions" EP series on Kapa Music (USA), the upcoming ''Red Carpet Lounge Vol.2'' on Peacelounge (Germany) and more. Nova brings the same passion for music at his live DJ sets playing a mixture of old jazz, brazillian, soul and funk music mixed with nu jazz, broken beat, latin, house, reggae and various jazz-influenced styles. He has held residences at venues in his hometown and has appeared as a guest DJ in cities all over Greece and Europe.

🟢 A very special and spiritual Christmas, I hope you all had it, out there and in here. As we almost round up my second compilation project, the “Beach Call” series, track by track we arrive at Matías Delóngaro’s “Atlantis”. Its far-out, deep-dive atmosphere is simply magnificent. A utopic soundscape, emblazoned with ancient flutism and beautiful guitars, gentle percussion, appearing as a truly Balearic, Mediterranean whole. Surely one of my favorite tracks on the label, especially in its ZaVen Remix, an even more electronic and pure Batavia take, featuring subtle piano touches, jazz elements and ethereal vocal samples, all resting right by the seashore. “Beach Call 2” was released on Batavia Records last summer ♫

🟢 While we’re waiting for his new album, it’s the right time to pause on Processing Vessel’s “Persiguiendo El Amor”, track No.13 from my “Beach Call 2” compilation on Batavia Records and one of the key inspirations behind the entire 'Beach Call' series. Its soft, percussive, luscious sound, paired with those seaside-tinged piano maneuvers and beautiful vocals, instantly recalls early-nineties Ibiza, Café del Mar and deep house and beyond vibes ♫

*Taken from his deep house-defining album ‘’Beautiful Stereo’’ which was easily the best for me in the genre back in 2023. ‘’Beautiful Stereo’’ invited us to dive deep into Processing Vessel’s sonic multiverse and stands as a groundbreaking release for both his career and the Batavia Records catalogue
