Dj Nova is a Greek-based DJ, tastemaker, and radio personality whose name is a homage to the famous French Radio Nova. A music lover since a very early age, Nova met the airwaves in December 2003 when he started broadcasting his "Nova Planet" radio show every Wednesday evening on "Rodon FM 95" at his hometown of Serres, Greece. The two-hour show took the listeners on a journey through a broad spec

trum of electronic music genres: Nu jazz, Lounge, Deep House, Afro, Latin, Funk, Balearic, Chill Out, Brazillian, Disco, and Japanese. Thanks to Nova's exquisite music style (and with some help from the internet) the show quickly gained worldwide popularity to become one of the authoritative destinations for electronic music aficionados in Greece and beyond. Nova has held live interviews with Michael Reinboth, Nicola Conte, Fabrice Lig, Ralf Droesemeyer, Christos Kedras, Truby Trio, Deladap, Tobias Meggle, Christian Prommer, S-tone Inc, Intuit, Carouge, Eddy Ramich, Felix Laband, Helmut Neugebauer, Dealers Of Nordic Music, Milto Eph, Heiko laux and many others. He has also been responsible for the broadcasting of six international radio shows on Rodon FM 95: “Beyond Jazz”, “Urban Landscapes”, “Basic Soul”, “Migrations”, “Soilsound Chronicles”, ‘’Peacelounge Sessions’’ and “Beat Philosophy”. Outside Rodon FM, Nova has participated with exclusive mixes in soulseduction.com radio days. His "Casa Del Sol" chill out show has reached as far as Canada's PUSH RADIO webradio. He compiles periodic podcasts under two series: "Labelology" (focusing on a specific music label) and "If I was a Balearic DJ" (focusing on balearic-influenced releases). He also runs the internet label "MoRNiNG SuN:TouCH" whose releases are available as free downloads under a creative-commons license. Working with labels from all over the world Nova has a number of compilation CDs under his belt like "Night & Day" on Prominence Records (Greece), "Tokyo Fashion District" on Cool D:Vision (Italy), the "Nova Planet House Sessions" EP series on Kapa Music (USA), the upcoming ''Red Carpet Lounge Vol.2'' on Peacelounge (Germany) and more. Nova brings the same passion for music at his live DJ sets playing a mixture of old jazz, brazillian, soul and funk music mixed with nu jazz, broken beat, latin, house, reggae and various jazz-influenced styles. He has held residences at venues in his hometown and has appeared as a guest DJ in cities all over Greece and Europe.

◉ Rooted in an introspective harmonization of the mind, ‘’Whispers of Rain’’ emerges as a natural musical creation, inspired by human emotion and the life-giving rhythm of rain. In an age where AI lags behind in true feeling yet leads so many aspects of our lives, this project stands at the very center of genuine artistic expression.

From their first Digital Single of the same title, the collaboration between Tulshi and Alina Bzhezhinska already made perfect sense. Its ambient backdrop blends classical, cinematic and atmospheric elements, while Bzhezhinska’s delicate harp notes perfectly capture Tulshi’s authentic inspiration behind ‘’Whispers of Rain’’. The result feels magical, calm and refreshing, like soft rain…

Like the sea. ‘’Across The Sea’’ another Digital Single, carries the bittersweet taste of dark chocolate that slowly melts into tranquility, a seaside view, a sound José Padilla might have played at Café del Mar. Cinematic and full of sunset magic, it paints that golden moment when the blue horizon turns to orange.

On ‘’Warm Days, Cold Nights’’ however, I keep searching, but I can’t seem to find the warm nights, except in Bzhezhinska’s harp. Everything else feels distant, cold even, on their third Digital Single. Yet I’m lost in the magic of her harmonic play, which opens up Balearic spaces reminiscent of Andreas Vollenweider’s White Island moments once cherished by DJs back in the day. Tulshi’s direction is flawless, no doubt. But me? I prefer living in warmer climates…

Together, they continue to weave classical and electronic soundscapes through an ambient music box, sometimes sad, sometimes moody, often deeply beautiful. You simply open it and its magic unfolds.

In ‘’Nomad’s Nocturne’’, the most ‘uplifting’ of the album, a world-music spirit arrives strong and confident. The opening track, ‘’Child’s Play’’, reconnects with modern electronica... Letting the children play. ‘’Starling’’ lifts your mood but fades too quickly, leaving a trace of melancholy in its short flight. Finally, ‘’Journey Home’’, the album’s Focused Track, brings calm after the rain or perhaps during it. Heartbeats slow, drops disappear… and you’re ready to press repeat on this emotional, soothing journey. 🟢 And as we continue moving deeper into Nova Planet Radio Show's hot, DJ Nova, latest compilation release, we arrive at track number 10. Here we meet Peter Mac from Porto Alegre, Brazil, with his tune “Every Time She Says,” originally part of his 2021 release on Batavia Records, ‘’Gone EP’’. It’s one of my favorite releases from the label, and although I wasn’t initially excited about the female vocal sample, it still became the standout track for me. Subtle deep house summer vibes blended with a guitar that adds a touch of genuine Brazilian magic ♫ and beyond

IDA365 Garcia & Belladonna - Alternative Muffin 20.06.25 ◉ OUT on IRMA Records Dancefloor ◉ Garcia & Belladonna’s “Alternative Muffin” offers a wide combination of sounds and genres. Drum & Bass hasn’t really been my thing since the '90s but the crazy ragga-jazz energy of “Wobbly Type” makes total sense to me. “Hindering You” brings downtempo funk with amazing new-wave and jazz elements while the electrified indie breaks on “Poorly Concealed” tap into a broader '90s spectrum of sound. The standout track for me is “Valvenes”, deep, beach club vibes where guitars and piano dance over a snappy, trendy rhythm I just can’t resist. It delivers something that’s not often found around here, something beyond the usual ‘that’s the way it is’. - DJ Nova Nov(A)voN ♫
