PARKING NOTICE – SKOPELOS

The Municipality of Skopelos would like to inform residents and visitors that, starting Friday, May 15, 2026, paid parking will officially come into effect at the open-air parking area of the Skopelos Port Fund (ΧΖΛ).

📍 Parking fee: €0.70 per hour
💳 Payment by card only

➡️ Vehicle owners are kindly requested to remove their vehicles from the parking area by midnight on Thursday, May 14, 2026.
From the moment the measure takes effect, any vehicles remaining in the parking area will be charged until their removal.

🅿️ FREE PARKING will continue to be available:
• at the municipal parking areas of Vakratsa Estate
• at the parking area next to the Asklepieion
throughout the entire tourist season.

🏫 In addition, free parking will also be allowed in school yards during July and August.

🚌 SERVICE FOR ALL ARRIVALS & DEPARTURES AT AGNONDAS PORT

Northern Sporades Mini Bus Services continue to enhance daily routes in order to provide better service for both residents and visitors of Skopelos.

📍 Starting Tuesday, May 12, 2026, buses will serve all arrivals and departures from Agnondas Port (ferries, flying dolphins, etc.).

➡️ Direct bus connections will be available during all arrival and departure times, making transportation to and from the port easier and more convenient for passengers.

An inclusive society begins with awareness, understanding, and equal access for everyone. ♿✨

The Municipality of Skopelos proudly supports the seminar “Customer Service for People with Visual Impairment”, which will take place on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 18:00 to 20:00, at the Municipal Council Conference Hall of Skopelos (Xenia Building).

The seminar is organized by the Association of People with Visual Disabilities of Magnesia “Magnites Tyfli” in collaboration with KEAT, aiming to provide practical knowledge and guidance on the proper support and service of people with visual impairment.

The event is addressed to local authority staff, healthcare professionals, security services, tourism businesses, and anyone interested in promoting accessibility and inclusion in everyday life.

📌 Certificates of attendance will be provided by KEAT upon completion of the seminar.

A house filled with history, memories, and priceless heirlooms that tell the story of old Skopelos through furniture, traditional costumes, porcelains, paintings, embroidery, and the family’s personal belongings. Every corner of the mansion reveals the aesthetics, culture, and everyday life of a place with more than 250 years of history.

A special highlight is the collection of family photographs and historical diplomas — including one signed by the renowned Greek poet Kostis Palamas — while the 19th-century medical instruments reflect the efforts of provincial doctors of that time.

Skopelos had the pleasure of welcoming an important initiative of care and support for our island. 💙

A total of 557 residents received medical check-ups, with 2.028 examinations carried out, while both children and adults took part in educational programs that left a positive impact on our local community.

Such initiatives clearly highlight the importance of access to healthcare, prevention, and knowledge for every island community.

We warmly thank the Axion Hellas team and everyone who contributed to making this meaningful initiative in Skopelos a reality.

Solidarity and offering always have a place on our island. 💙
