Sunday morning here in Greece, and the weather is rainy.
The cassette player is spinning View Master 2, curated by a project brought to life by an incredible team—printers, photographers, designers, videographers—all working together to create something truly special.

Each copy is hand-printed using the screen-printing method on eco-friendly paper, making this release even more unique.

Maybe this is our biggest work yet, BUT the essence of it all is that we don’t want to stop here. Every challenge makes us better, and we keep going, standing the test of time.

Dear Friends,

We are excited to announce the third of our four planned releases for this year! Valia Calda, a dynamic group originating from Greece and currently active in London, has launched their new double single this past Friday.

After months of anticipation, this collaboration marks a significant step forward and sets the stage for future releases that will transform our team’s structure.

A year after their last release, *Homeless*, Valia Calda returns with the double single **𝘽𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙃𝙤𝙢𝙚 / 𝙄𝙣 𝙎𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜**, now available digitally on our Bandcamp shop. "Back Home" features the captivating vocals of Maddalena Ghezzi, while "In Spring" highlights the remarkable talent of Albanian violin master Aurel Qirjo.

The visual elements for this release include a sketch by 𝑻𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑬𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, with design contributions from Eleftheria Zanidaki and Argiris Marmaridis.

Πρώτη εβδομάδα του Ιουλίου και ο παρΑξενος_ελκυστΗς κάνει μια ανασκόπηση στις νέες κυκλοφορίες του πρώτου εξάμηνου του ’24. Δίσκοι που ξεχώρισαν, θέτοντας υποψηφιότητα για τους καλύτερους της χρονιάς, και δεν έχουν μέχρι στιγμής βρει τη θέση τους στις θεματικές μας εξερευνήσεις.

Απόψε στο α’ μέρος, θα συναντήσουμε:
- το φωνητικό σχήμα του Λονδρέζου Kieran Brunt που επανασχεδιάζει έργα του συνθέτη της Αναγέννησης William Byrd για την επέτειο των 400 ετών από τον θάνατό του.
- Το ensemble σύγχρονης μουσικής Wild Up στην Ιερή Παρουσία, μια εξερεύνηση σε συνθέσεις του Julius Eastman φορτισμένες με μυστικιστική πνευματικότητα
- Τον συνθέτη και πανεπιστημιακό από το Ohio Brian Harnetty σε ένα ηχητικό πορτραίτο του πατέρα του - μια ενασχόληση με το πεπερασμένο του χρόνου και τα αντικείμενα που παραμένουν.
- Την Ιταλίδα μπασίστρια Ruth Goller σε ένα έργο που απεικονίζει την πρόσφατη ψυχική της κατάσταση: ένα πέρασμα από το σκοτάδι και τα συναισθήματα θλίψης πάνω στην απώλεια, προς το φως και την ελπίδα.
- Το ντουέτο των Stian Westerhus και Maja Ratkje από την Νορβηγία που, οπλισμένοι με ένα εκκλησιαστικό όργανο του 19ου αιώνα, αντλούν από την ποίηση του Σαίξπηρ για την ανάκτηση των απωλειών.
- Τον πιανιστικό και φωνητικό αυτοσχεδιασμό της Γαλλίδας Delphine Dora, εμπνευσμένο από τα γραπτά της φιλοσόφου Simone Weil, όπου ο διαλογισμός ήταν ένα πέρασμα - μια πρόσβαση στη μυστικιστική εμπειρία.
- Ηλεκτρονικές διακυμάνσεις, εσωτερικές και εξωτερικές, από την Βερολινέζα Sophie Schnell, aka Pyur
- Ένα Φαινόμενο, όπως αυτό της συνάντησης του κουαρτέτου Kronos και των φίλων του, με τον Sun Ra και την κοσμική του πνευματικότητα
- Τη Νορβηγίδα σαξοφωνίστα Signe Emmeluth που πατάει πάνω στον Ιρλανδικό μυστικισμό της φιγούρας Banshee.
- Την κυκλική αναπνοή του σαξοφωνίστα Colin Stetson στον τελευταίο δίσκο της Αγγλίδας ηθοποιού και τραγουδίστριας Keeley Forsyth.
- Την επετειακή επανέκδοση, μισό αιώνα από την πρώτη κυκλοφορία, του εμβληματικού έργου για σόλο κιθάρα του Fred Frith.
- Το σχήμα LIFE ONLY - την συνεργασία του Fred Frith και του Χιλιανού Diego Aguirre με τον βιολιστή Dimos Vryzas - που εξερευνά τον αυτοσχεδιασμό μέσα από drone και ambient ήχους.
- Μια ακόμα διεθνή συνεργασία υψηλού επιπέδου: το σχήμα των Valia Calda του Νίκου και του Thodoris Ziarkas, που διακρίνονται στην τζαζ και αυτοσχεδιαστική σκηνή του Λονδίνου, με την βοκαλίστα Maddalena Ghezzi.

Hello from the logarithm family.
We have two new releases to announce!
Long time no see -we know it has been a long time, yes- but we have been actually working non stop! We now work on 4 releases based mostly on electronic music as well as ambient.
Two of these you now can find and check out in the following links. One is of course Ehohroma (who we have already met in our previous collection-view master vol.2) and the other one is who we are really excited to welcome for the first time!
Both releases are extra limited editions of 50 and 100 respectively and will come out in our -now classic - ecological paper box !
27 of may is the official release date but we already have available the pre order choice for you!

Μόλις πριν από λίγο ανέτρεξα στα παλιά μου αρχεία στον υπολογιστή μου όπου και βρήκα την πρώτη αφίσα/Εvent και συνειδητοποίησα πως είναι σαν σήμερα!! Σαν σήμερα 21/02/2007! Πάμε 17 χρόνια πίσω. Πολλά αλλά όμορφα!
Επίσης με το ζόρι βρήκα κάποιες φωτογραφίες από τότε κ μια παρουσίαση μας στο περιοδικό freeze.
Και ενώ δε το συνηθίζω φέτος εδώσα και μια συνέντευξη για εκείνα τα χρόνια, θα ανέβει στο spotify το επόμενο διάστημα.

Βέβαια χωρίς το ντουέτο Logarithm aka
τπτ δεν θα υπήρχε σήμερα και αξίζει να πω ένα μεγάλο ευχαριστώ για την επιρροή κ εμπιστοσύνη 🙏

Θα χαρώ να ακούσω ιστορίες, Αν υπάρχει και φωτογραφικό υλικό είναι ευπρόσδεκτο γιατί έχει χαθεί ένα μεγάλο κομμάτι από τοτε.
