There are some releases that through the years have managed to reach a mythical status. "Deliver this Dream" by XCEL is without a doubt one of those.

Back in 1986 the band from Port Neches and Nederland, TX, US, released a full-length album that can only be described as "one of a kind". The enigmatic, emotional songwriting, the outstanding vocal performances, the heavenly guitar parts and the overall song structures starting from a melodic heavy metal basis and evolving to an almost progressive direction, make this record one of the finest examples of US Metal art.

Through the years the original pressing of the "Deliver this Dream" on vinyl became one of the most sought-after items for the metal collectors worldwide. In 2013 Arkeyn Steel Records released the album on CD including two bonus tracks from the 1987 "The Last Ride of Ichabod Crane" promo 7".

In 2026, we are celebrating the 40th anniversary of this masterpiece: Arkeyn Steel Records and Cult Metal Classics are releasing "Deliver this Dream" on vinyl for the very first time after its original 80s pressing!

This vinyl edition features remixed and remastered audio, the two 7" bonus tracks plus, photos, lyrics and liner notes including the band's story.

"Electric Stardom" is the third album of the Greek guitar virtuoso and songwriter, Costas Varras, featuring the excellent voices of Mark Boals (Yngwie Malmsteen, Ring of Fire etc) and Goran Edman (Yngwie Malmsteen, John Norum, Brazen Abbot, Time Requiem, Madison etc).

Varras is the solo project of the Greek guitar virtuoso and "Electric Stardom" is a piece of neoclassical mastery that can easily be described as the biggest step in the musician's career so far.

In 1999 Costas Varras formed his first band: Perpetual. In 2004 Perpetual released one of the most important albums in the Greek Neoclassical Metal scene: "Overlord's Perpetual". In 2006 Costas Varras moved to Hollywood, California and in 2008 he graduated from Musicians Institute, reforming his band in L.A. In 2009 he traveled to Kent, England, to record an album with Chris Tsangarides, unfortunately, this album was never released. In 2017, he entered the studio of Bob Katsionis, and together they recorded the album "Neon-Classical" that was released one year later under the musician's name: Costas Varras. The "Rock You Hard" single release followed in 2020 featuring Mark Boals on vocals.

All those years of hard work, experience, and co-operation are reflected in "Electric Stardom". Varras is simply delivering a piece of neoclassical heaven presenting his best compositions so far. Power, melody, and emotion are combined on a brilliant album that is already getting huge reviews from the international press, as it was digitally released on Lion Music. Steel Gallery Records releases the album on CD, featuring an exclusive bonus track: "Palisha", a baroque, acoustic ballad featuring the vocals of the mighty Mark Boals. Bob Katsionis also adds his keyboard magic to the album, working one more time with Costas Varras.

Yes, it is finally happening. Arkeyn Steel Records is re-releasing the "Defenders of the Realm" compilation CD, which includes the complete recordings of the heavy / epic / power metallers Enchanter from Jackson, Michigan, US.

Released in February 2008, "Defenders of the Realm" marked the second title in the Arkeyn Steel catalog. Originally limited to 1000 copies, it sold out rapidly and has since become one of the most sought-after ASR titles to this day.

The compilation includes both of the band's demo tapes: "Defenders of the Realm", issued in 1988, and "Time Gone Past Nevermore", released one year later (1989). Both serve as fine examples of heavy / epic / power metal, delivered with a distinctive technical approach.

"Ethereal Quarter", the band's last recording, is also included. Finalized and mixed in 1990, it never received an official release until now. In this eight-minute masterpiece, Enchanter offer an epic and mystical work, presented in a complex yet emotional manner, clearly pointing toward the direction the band would follow in the next chapter of their saga, when they changed their name to Longings Past.

It is crystal clear that the band’s mastermind, guitarist James Shellberg, was channeling his broad artistic vision through Enchanter, delivering epic and powerful music shaped by near-progressive structures, inspired by early-era Fates Warning and similar acts. The music included in this reissue is far more important than a mere “demo discovery from the vaults”; it stands as a piece of fine epic art.

The new reissue features a brand-new remaster by Kostas Scandalis (Infinity Studios, Thessaloniki).
Kostas Athanasoglou redeveloped the booklet from scratch; the complete set of lyrics is included, together with extra photos that remained unreleased until now. Chris Papadakis (Forgotten Scroll Zine) wrote the liner notes.

We would like to dedicate this new pressing to Richard L. Copeland (drums) and Jimmy Delamater (bass), two Enchanter musicians who have passed on to Valhalla. And to all of you who have kept the Arkeyn Steel fire burning all these years. Hail!

Today, we announce the debut album of a band destined to add a golden page to the grand book of the Heavy Metal pantheon: the mighty Sanctum Pyre.

Formed in 2025, Sanctum Pyre released two singles as the first glimpses of their potential. The impact was immense from the very first listen, prompting the Steel Gallery team to waste no time in approaching the band to bring their exceptional debut album to fruition.

Musically, the band blends Heavy and Power Metal, placing strong emphasis on Eastern scales and cultivating an exotic dimension within their sound. The result is an intricate fusion of lyricism and epic grandeur reminiscent of bands like Crimson Glory and Arrayan Path, all delivered with the unmistakable personal signature of Sanctum Pyre.

At the helm of Sanctum Pyre stands Nikos Tzouannis (keyboards), responsible for all compositions, orchestration, and lyrics. On vocals, we find the great Rob Lundgren (Echosoul, Mentalist, Reveal, Epilog), while Mike G. handles guitars and bass and is also responsible for the drum programming.

The album also features special guest appearances. On “Daughter Of The Wind,” Thomas Karam (Noor, Exxûl) delivers a formidable duet alongside Shlomit Levi (Orphaned Land).

Exclusively for the Steel Gallery Records CD edition, the bonus track “The Veil Is Torn” is included, once again featuring Thomas Karam delivering one of his finest performances as guest vocalist.

The marvelous front cover was created by Carlos Fides (Evergrey, Narnia, Shaman).

Dark Nightmare, the Epic Heavy Metallers from Grevena City, Greece, do not need any special introduction. For almost two and a half decades they have been generously offering high class steel through their various releases and their live shows.

It is not the first time that we have worked with the band to represent their back catalogue: Back in 2021 we reissued their legendary demo recordings through the "The Dark Demo Years" compilation and now it is time to re-release their monumental "Beneath The Veils Of Winter" full length.

Originally released in 2012 on Iron on Iron Records, "Beneath Ohe Veils Of Winter" was the album that introduced a wider audience to the greatness of Dark Nightmare's steel. It features some of the band's all-time classics like "The Battlefield Calling My Name", "Beneath The Veils Of Winter", "Are We Free?" and "The Voyage". The album highlights a remarkable evolution to the band's overall songwriting featuring a wide usage of multiple guitar and keyboard melodies alongside the powerful riffing and larger than life vocal lines. This full-length is also the first one to feature Nikos Michalakakos (Spitfire, Ragenheart, Thelemite, Blind Justice) on bass, a musician who over the years, became a key member for the band.

"Beneath The Veils Of Winter" quickly became the favorite Dark Nightmare release for the fans, it sold out very quickly, eventually becoming unavailable to those who did not manage to obtain a copy of the first Iron on Iron Records pressing. As you can imagine the demand for a reissue was very high. Well, the wait is over, 14 years after its original release, this Heavy Metal gem is available again.

The Steel Gallery Records edition comes with five bonus tracks -two studio and three live recordings-, the original front cover designed by Kostas Theoharis (Blade of Spirit), plus upgraded booklet layout/front cover by Kostas Athanasoglou.

Paragon was formed in 1987 when guitarists Jon Faber and Keith Wood recruited bassist Steve Smith to form a band that would pick up the mantle from influences like Queensrÿche, Fates Warning, and Dream Theater, as well as the musicianship of bands like Racer X and Cacophony.

After honing their twin lead guitar technique, along with Steve Smith — a bassist who could trade licks or hold down the low end — the trio recruited drummer Marc Mitchell and singer Dwight Bowden. Both Mitchell and Bowden also participated in the band Wrathskeller from Washington Township, an important part of the Ohio metal scene whose discography was reissued on the “Eve of the End” compilation CD (Arkeyn Steel Records, 2016).

“Heed the Prophecy”, Paragon’s debut demo tape, was released two years after the band’s formation. The first 250 copies sold out quickly, so another 250 were produced. The “A Change of Season” demo tape followed one year later (1990), with 500 copies released.

Arkeyn Steel Records presents both of the band’s recordings on CD format for the very first time. All audio material has been remastered by Kostas Scandalis at Infinity Studio (Thessaloniki, Greece). The artwork was developed by Kostas Athanasoglou, and the booklet includes a complete set of lyrics plus never-before-seen photos. Chris Papadakis (Forgotten Scroll Zine) has written the liner notes, revealing valuable information about the band.

The band split around 1992–1993. Their final line-up included three members from Shadowcast, another great progressive/power metal band from Dayton, Ohio, whose demography was also reissued on “The Premonition” compilation CD (Arkeyn Steel Records, 2016).
In just four years, Paragon managed to develop a great song catalog that resulted in the release of two of the most important demos of the Ohio prog/power metal scene. It is time for this treasure to be rediscovered!
