Based in Thessaloniki, Greece, Green Cookie Records is best known as the instrumental surf rock authority having released the most important contemporary artists of the genre (Los Venturas, Les Agamemnonz, El Ray, The Phantom Four, The Akulas, Wave Chargers, Speedball Jr among others) as well as some re-issues of iconic surf rock pioneers (Insect Surfers, The Halibuts, Satan's Pilgrims, Lost Acapu

lco). This is not your father's surf but innovative, constantly evolving surf rock for the 21th century inspired by the traditional '60s surf rock, incorporating along the way exotica sounds, lounge atmosphere, spy movies soundtracks, spaghetti western, bollywood & middle east melodies. From 60's revival, garage-punk, mod-beat via americana & neo-psych to some recently releases of unusual mixes like the hypnotic psychedelic grooves of the Dengue Fever sung in Khmer and the psych-indie-pop diamonds of the Palmiyeler sung in Turkish.
