❓Μπορεί ένας φανταστικός γάτος που νανουρίζει παιδιά στο TikTok…που ταξιδεύει ανάμεσα σε social media, audio stories, σχολικές αίθουσες και live events…να παρουσιαστεί ως ακαδημαϊκό case study σε διεθνές συνέδριο;
Κι όμως… μπορεί!
Στο DCAC 2026 παρουσίασα το paper μου:“Stories that Travel Across Screens: A Transmedia Case Study for Learning”
👉🏼μια practice-based έρευνα πάνω στο transmedia storytelling, το digital culture και το πώς οι ιστορίες μπορούν να μετακινούνται από πλατφόρμα σε πλατφόρμα δημιουργώντας βιωματικές εμπειρίες μάθησης.
Στο επίκεντρο της παρουσίασης ήταν ο Antoine Croissant 🥐 ένας fictional ταξιδιάρης Γάτος Σεφ🐈 που δημιουργήθηκε αρχικά ως storytelling χαρακτήρας, αλλά εξελίχθηκε σε ένα transmedia learning project που συνδυάζει:
🎧 audio storytelling📱 social media narratives📖 bilingual learning🌍 cultural storytelling και audience participation
Ως voice actor, storyteller και PhD researcher, αυτή η στιγμή ήταν πολύ ιδιαίτερη για μένα🥹
Το να βλέπω έναν χαρακτήρα που ξεκίνησε σαν μια απλή ιδέα αφήγησης να μετατρέπεται σταδιακά σε ακαδημαϊκό case study, μου υπενθύμισε πως σήμερα οι ιστορίες δεν ζουν μόνο σε μία οθόνη. Ταξιδεύουν’Μεταμορφώνονται! Δημιουργούν κοινότητες, συναισθήματα και νέους τρόπους μάθησης.
✨ Μερικές φορές, οι ιστορίες που δημιουργούμε για να προσφέρουμε ηρεμία και χαλάρωση… καταλήγουν να ταξιδεύουν πολύ πιο μακριά απ’ όσο φανταζόμασταν.

Can a fictional cat that helps children fall asleep on TikTok…that travels across social media, audio stories, classrooms and live events…be presented as an academic case study at an international conference?
Apparently… yes!
At DCAC 2026, I presented my paper:“Stories that Travel Across Screens: A Transmedia Case Study for Learning”
👉🏼a practice-based research project exploring transmedia storytelling, digital culture and the ways stories can move across platforms to create immersive learning experiences.
At the center of the presentation was Antoine Croissant 🥐 a fictional travelling cat chef 🐈who was first created as a storytelling character, but gradually evolved into a transmedia learning project combining:

As a voice actor, storyteller and PhD researcher, this moment felt incredibly special to me.🥹
Seeing a character that started as a simple storytelling idea slowly evolve into an academic research case study reminded me that stories today no longer live on just one screen. They travel. They transform. They create communities, emotions and new ways of learning.
✨ Sometimes, the stories we create to comfort people… end up travelling much further than we ever imagined.
