Today, the Discalced Carmelite Family rejoices with gratitude as we honor you, our Mother and Queen, Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
You are the Mother who gathers us beneath your mantle, the model of prayer and contemplation, and the faithful woman who teaches us to keep all things in our hearts and remain attentive to the voice of God.
On your birthday, we ask you to continue forming us in the spirit of Carmel: to seek the face of God in silence, to remain faithful in prayer, to live in loving union with Jesus, and to offer our lives for the Church and for the salvation of souls.
Mother and Beauty of Carmel, protect our friars, nuns, secular Carmelites, confraternities, priests, families, and all those who wear your Holy Scapular with faith and devotion. Lead us ever more deeply into friendship with your Son.
