Apple just purchased 100,000 carbon credits from Guyana, a major win for climate action and for our green economy. This deal recognizes Guyana’s pristine forests as a global carbon sink and backs our leadership in low-carbon development.
The credits were issued under the ART-TREES system, a world-standard for forest protection. But here’s the real beauty: the Government is reinvesting a significant portion of Guyana’s carbon credit revenue into Indigenous/Amerindian communities across the country.

This is climate justice in motion.
