Today I carry more than just my name… I carry the women who came before me.
From India to Guyana, they crossed oceans with strength, sacrifice, and stories they didn’t always get to tell. On Indian Arrival Day, I’m thinking about everything they endured — and everything they quietly built.
Because of them, I get to be this version of me — educated, expressive, still growing… but deeply rooted.
Their strength is in my voice. Their grace is in how I show up. Their legacy… is me.
