Guyanese music is on the rise, and at the forefront of this movement is Dellon Entertainment. Founded and run by Dellon Alpheus Hinds, a professional policeman and a passionate producer, Dellon Entertainment is a testament to the power of dedication and vision. With the support of Adrian Johnson, Dellon Hinds has carved a significant niche for himself and his company in the competitive landscape of dancehall and Soca in Guyana.
From his debut with "Frozen " to subsequent releases like "Riffle Prayer," "Thug Loving," and "Bad Monkey," Riddim Dellon has consistently delivered a musical backdrop that allows multiple artists to shine. His commitment to this format has paid off.
The company's breakthrough moment came in 2023 with "Nothing Nah Bother Mi" by Kwasi Ace, a song that made a significant impact at the 2023 Soca Monarch competition. While the artist didn't win, the song put Dellon Hinds and Dellon Entertainment firmly on the local map. This success was a springboard for even greater things.
This year, Dellon Entertainment has truly hit its stride. The "Bad Behaviour Riddim," a collaboration with Timmy Fraser and Fame Band, has been a major highlight of the 2025 Soca season. Composed by Fraser Records, brought to life by the live sound of Fame Band, and expertly mixed by Adrian Johnson, the riddim features a lineup of artists including Richard, Officer Bling, Kady Kish, Kwasi Ace, Mariah, and Tammy. The impact of the riddim was amplified by Dellon's strategic move to produce a music video for every song, which shows his commitment to promoting the visual as well as the artistry of his collaborators.
Dellon is working on his upcoming EP, "Reckless Behaviour." This project will bridge local and international talent, with three overseas artists already confirmed and local stars Vision Clarke, Kady Kish and Mariah also featured. His collaboration with St. Vincent composer Sick-O on the "Rum Finger 2 Riddim" promises to bring more international attention to Guyanese production.
In addition to his production work, Hinds has also founded Vibez GY, a centralized digital platform for Guyanese music. This initiative serves as a crucial hub for artists, fans, and industry professionals, providing a space to discover, promote, and celebrate local talent. It is a clear demonstration of Dellon's commitment to building and nurturing the entire Guyanese music ecosystem.
Dellon Entertainment's remarkable year has not gone unnoticed. The company has been nominated for Best Dancehall/Soca Producer of the Year and "Bad Behaviour Riddim" has received a nomination for Best Riddim of the Year at the prestigious DemRock Music Awards. This recognition is a well deserved Honor for Dellon Hinds, Adrian Johnson, and the entire team of talented composers and artists who have supported their work.
Join us in celebrating this incredible achievement at the DemRoc Music Awards, set to take place on November 14, 2025, at the National Cultural Centre in Guyana. It will be a night to Honor the best in Guyanese music, and Dellon Entertainment is sure to be one of the highlights of the evening. Don't miss the chance to celebrate the artists and producers who are making Guyana's music scene a global force.
